Thanks David, I’ll keep an eye on them 8)

I’m not trying for EFOC with the woodies, I’m shooting 75-80# shafts, 29.5″ with 190gr up front. I have some of the 225gr field points coming and will try them. If I get good flight I’ll try the 225 Tuffheads. Other wise I’ll be shooting the 200 Grizzly’s.

According to Stu Miller’s calculator the 225’s would give me just over 15% with a ~680gr total. The 200’s would be just over 13% at ~660gr total. I have a hog hunt coming up in April, so not much time for experimentation. After that I’ll probably play with carbons and EFOC weighting in preparation for deer season. I’m really enjoying the conversations here!

Thanks Troy! I’m pulling just over 50# at my draw, so not terribly far off. I’ll be interested to read about your progress, and will probably try some other combos starting in May…

Troy, what weight bow are you shooting these from?

Dang it, now I’m going to be playing with EFOC arrows for sure. The wife will be thrilled…

after the straight jacket thread :D, I can’t wait!

I am going to start with woods and a relatively heavy head, but would still be interested in pursuing an EFOC or better this summer.

I’m shooting a TwoTracks Ambush, which is a 50″ recurve. I really like it, might be worth looking at.

                    Thanks Dave and Dr. Ed!

I’m enjoying it so far, that is for sure. It is neat to get a response from the man who wrote the studies I’ve been spending so much time reading!
