Jason, I second that, good hunting.
Mark.
Tailfeather, I was heading that way, preserve a littel dignity.
Doc, heard that about the time we lost my nephew it summed up things I could not put into words.
Duncan, I’ll report back if it goes well you may even like to try a class.
Mike, Judo, Jujitsu I know where your coming from suffered at the hands of the ‘Poison Dwarf’. Free, you know it will cost me one way or another.
Jans, that’s an analogy I can relate to.
Thanks for all your encouragement, my nearest and dearest said something about gorillas and ballet, we’ll see.
Mark.
Getting a bit real now just had a text out of the blue, my sons girlfriend has a free yoga pass at the gym..oh, I’m really feeling a bit anxious about this now even with all your positive comments.
My wife says ‘I hope its somewhere a long way away where I don’t know anyone’ is it a wonder that I’m anxious.
Perhaps I should not be so hard on hippies as they are probably an endangered species, don’t tell the Dallas safari club.
in reply to: Bison Gear Packs #10962Another vote for Fenix I have the E15 on my key ring, also like my Petzl head torch.
Speaking of mirrors and doing double duty I have a small magnifying lens for getting thorns out it will light a fire on a good day.
Back to Bison gear can you attach pouches, sheaths and water bottles as you would with a webbing or drop belt.
Mark.
Jim, thanks for the offer I would appreciate that, I need to strengthen my core and stretch so sounds good, I thought 60 situps a day would keep my core strong but evidently not.
Steve, I looked briefly this morning and it all got a bit Zen, perhaps your good lady might suggest something.
Thanks for the reassurance it was the leotard that had me worried.

in reply to: Shot Placement #49652Hi Rash and welcome.
Coincidence may be but Ive had the same problem on an off recently, took me a while to figure it out but it was just me being sloppy, needed a ‘Little Arne’ on my shoulder to put me straight.

in reply to: NewbieQ: Martin Saber TD Recurve Assembly #49647Welcome Maverick, first off welcome, I have no experience of this bow but for what its worth:
1. I agree, hole spacings may also be different to prevent incorrect assembly.
2. Thin foam pads, check these ar’nt just for protection whilst in transit.
Without the limbs being solidly attached I’d not shoot her until you’ve checked with Martin, and tell them their instructions suck.
in reply to: goose'n the longbow #58076Now I’m jealous, its hard to beat an evening on the coast after waterfowl.
Lying out under the moon after fighting geese is my next favorite.
Our season started on the 1st. but I wait until we get a frost.
What is the broadhead you are using?
Are those DIY decoys.
Mark.
Looked again I can see they are full bodied except for the one holding your gear.
in reply to: Pushing the limits #53458Animals are not allowed in the house until they become ‘recognizable’ cuts of meat.
I’m sure my wife could have been a crime scene investigator, a speck of blood or feather she will find it.
Strangely cleaning riding boots in the kitchen is OK.
The spaniels and I used to get ‘sent out’ on a regular bases fortunately the pub is within easy walking distance of our house and I haven’t been thrown out of the pub since the incident with the ferret.
OK Robin, what is TJ banned from doing in the house.
Mark.
in reply to: A first harvest… #53427Congratulations Layla, that smile says it all.
in reply to: Wild Shots #43299Been working on my shoulders so as to hold at full draw that little bit longer and be more stable, perfect site picture, smooth release kept the bow up and some evil spirit took possession of my arrow, not saying how high it went just that it was way way high, I have no idea what went wrong.
