Here’s the companies site:
http://www.forgebow.com/arrows/slipstream.htmlin reply to: Forge Arrows #48869I’d not heard of them. I have a REALLY difficult time believing 30% FoC with that arrow and an 85 grain tip is possible.
in reply to: My Java Man Elkheart: The Four Year Wait Is Over #48449I’m getting very anxious! Should be getting the takedown Baraga soon. Can’t wait! A big part of it is that my current Baraga then becomes my son’s. I’m looking forward to giving it to him.
in reply to: change or stay? #48403Amen Larry re: camo!
And it does matter to me, only in that I’m interested in what he decides to do. I was where he’s at not that long ago.
in reply to: Please introduce yourselves, I'll start #48388Oh alright, I’ll be serious for once. My name is Patrick. Some call me Pat, others call me P. Have 2 children, 9 & 10 years old respectively. I desparately want to move out West. Have, ever since vacationing/hunting a few times. I LOVE the mountains. I love to learn. I love science, natural history. I’m a huge history buff, especially military, and even more specifically American Revolution and WWII history.
in reply to: change or stay? #48335You didn’t say what you’ve decided to do though. Inquiring minds want to know.
in reply to: Photo galleries #48263I’m a little slow getting there, but those are some great galleries!
in reply to: change or stay? #47923I COMPLETELY agree with everything Pothunter said!
[Sorry for being a moron…sometimes I can’t help myself, especially since I’m SO good at it! Practice makes perfect.]
in reply to: change or stay? #46943I COMPLETELY agree with everything P.J. said!
in reply to: change or stay? #44923Welcome! What gives you the impression you need a new bow? Just curious, plus the answer may help answer your question.
in reply to: newbie: books? #44620“The Traditional Bowhunter’s Handbook” is a must! I JUST got it a couple days ago, and I have to say the guy who wrote it seems to know what he’s talking about . It’s a great book, with tons of information. Another reason it’s so good, ESPECIALLY for the beginner, is that it’s a launching point to steer you into your next book, whatever or whoever the subject, due to all the book and video references. There’s ALOT more to it than that though.
in reply to: The anatomy of a broadhead's edge #42404David Petersen wrote: Then the idea hit me that I could break a small file, about 3/4″ wide, into lengths that would fit into the KME knife sharpener jig that holds the stone (shown in Daniel’s photos here also). I tried that and it worked great, allowing me to do the necessary little bit of file work and keep a perfect bevel angle…
Great minds think alike…BUT, there are also times when great minds and myself think alike. 😆
No kidding: I was JUST thinking about doing that EXACT same thing last night, but I don’t have a KME knife sharpener to try it…YET! Awesome!in reply to: The ugliest moccasins ever! #41426Chris, very admirable, no matter how ugly! I admire your williness to do things like that.
Dave, you’ve sold me on the L.L. Beans, and not just from this post.
in reply to: BOW ARM TECHNIQUE QUESTION #40931I would describe my arm position as relaxed, which probably sounds strange. I don’t lock my arm, but I know some do. I think the best way to describe it is to say that my elbow is in the exact same position when I shoot as it is when I let my arm just completely relax (as in NOT holding it up, just relaxed, and to my side). Hope that makes sense.
in reply to: IS EVERYONE READY FOR TURKEY HUNTING? #40923My hunt is from May 3 – May 31, and I’ve been shooting a lot lately. I’m sure I’ll have shot opportunities, and I don’t intend to miss. Intend is the operative word. 😉
