😳 I totally missed your comment…until today that is. Very cool. Looking forward to it!

But your admirable spelling and grammar detective efforts notwithstanding, I get to keep “the prize,” as the pet peeve I was referring to, and illustrating through inadvertent examples aplenty, is folks like me who post sloppy messages during happy hour. :D:):)8) Of course none of you would do that, I’m sure.:lol: dp

My pet peeve is losing. 😈 😳 😆

😆 Actually, my answer was precise, since Dave asked for the pet peeve to be pointed out, not the examples of the pet peeve.

One from my own peeve kennel: “I thought to myself … ” We see this even in the NYT, supposed home of the most elitest of the elitest writers. Yet, as my wife puts it, “Unless we’re clairavouyant, who else can we think to but ourselves?” Just so.

OK, “the prize” goes to whoever first finds their own pet peeve being mal-petted in my above. What’s the prize? I’ll have to think about that, to myself of course. LOL dp (Hinjt: there are at least three.)

I’m sure I speak for many when I say…”I could do SO much better!” 😉
Joking of course! They are incredibly beautiful! Are the nocks footed self nocks? From what I can tell (viewing from my iPhone), they seem to be. If so, the nock-end footing is a different wood all together, right?

My tip: Read “A Man Made of Elk”. 😆

Great job GTA! I do agree with the others though. The “screw up the hunt” comment turned what would have been a great and classy intro into what comes across as the intro to a comedy. Keep at it! You’ve got the talent for sure!

One of the biggest hurdles I have when it comes to shooting my bow is my tendency to overthink things. BUT, that same trait works well in some venues. 🙂

Truth is, there’s no way i’d stop shooting long distances. It would be too boring. I think my problem is more that I don’t mix it up much. I shoot either at all short ranges one day, then long the next.

That’s a bummer. Bssed on what you’re saying, it does seem that stoning him to death is not a viable option at this point.

I should clarify: it seems I have a tendency to shoot high at closer ranges after I’ve been shooting long ranges. I’m not referring to group size.

Here’s an update, since I’m sure the suspense has been killing everyone:

Since switching to just behind the joint, I’ve had ample opportunity to see how my hands hold up now, and it’s no longer an issue. Between Saturday and Sunday, my son and I shot well over 150 arrows each. Didn’t bother me one bit. THANK GOD! Now, on to becoming more consistent with my new, pain free anchor.

How Tyler can shoot with no glove or tab is beyond me. The wimp gene I surely passed along must be recessive in him. He cracked and shot with a glove for a while on Saturday, but went right back to bare fingers Sunday, and the servings not even built up at all.
