I switced to left wing/bevel partly because it’s easier for me to sharpen left bevel broadheads, as I’m right-handed. I’m not good at it. I’m just worse with right-bevels. 😳

You proved yourself wrong with the meaningful answer that followed. 😉
in reply to: Home made string silencers? #9891I tried Dave’s suggestion this morning and I like it. I’ve been shooting without silencers. I’m using about 2″ of leather lacing from my son’s armguard, as he had WAY more than needed. I like the simplicity of just a couple pieces of leather. They’re not as quiet as other things, but I don’t care. They’re quiet enough for me. Plus they’re simple (yep, I said that more than once 🙂

First post for me, so it’s fitting that I show off my new hunting hat.
Ol’ Patrick got me on this forum since he’s been kickin’ my butt on the local range. I figured now is as good a time as any to jump in!

You must be shooting with two Patrick’s! Because this Patrick has been the one on the receiving end of the butt kicking, AND…I’m not old! 👿 😆
I would highly recommend the same lens Don suggested. It’s especially useful to have an image stabilizer when using such a lens. So much so, that I would recommend getting used to using what you have and saving up until you can afford it. A used one perhaps. BUT, I would really recommend getting comfortable with what you have, learning the limitations AND benefits of it first. There are SO many directions you could take, it’s pretty difficult to give you specific answers.

I appreciate your response, but I understand the new woodsman elite has a pyramid tip now which would probably provide a little more strength.
