in reply to: Curious about numbers of deer most shoot. #43664
here in delaware we can get unlimited doe tags on private land and we are allowed 1buck 15 in or wider and 1 hunters choice tag that can be used for any deer
for public land u can buy extra doe tags for i think 10 dollars apiecein reply to: Sika Deer on Assateague Island #45485not sure about dorchester county i know there ia a lot of public land but on blackwater refuge not sure how permit system works i can find out i have friends who hunt there every year.
as far as assateague u can u will probaly need a beach sticker to travel the island there is a good number of deer but the gun seasons are crowded.if have any questions feel free to contact me i only live about 20 miles from asateague.in reply to: Bummed out – a friend is giving up Stickbows #42986That is very correct its the person that makes the hunter, not the type bow someone wants to shoot. Most of my friends are compound hunters and are good people to hunt with.
in reply to: Bow Season vs. Crossbows #11592we have them here in ddelaware was made official month ago so i guess we will see what happens next fall
in reply to: delaware crossbows proposals #59925seems to me that quite a few of the people who support are younger that are perfectly capable of shooting a trad or compound bow but would rather go the easiest and quickest route to kill deer less worried about the hunt just hurry get there shoot and get out
in reply to: Sika Deer on Assateague Island #59741that is correct but they will be whistling by the last week of september most years

in reply to: Favorite Turkey Setup? #24435i use same setup as i usr for deer 2blade zwickey.
shot one with the compound several years ago with 100gr thunderhead and a small game stopper behind it the arrow stopped in the feathers and fell back out when he got and flew.
i just shoot the broadhead now with nothing behind it.

in reply to: Trapping?! #12646i tinker at some trapping here also i mainly catch coons using a live trap with squeeze grapr jelly put some on the trip pedtal and leave a trail of it for about 30yds.
for groundhogs we use pieces of lettuce in the trap.
for foxes i use dead chickens bury them under trap leave one leg sticking up out of the ground -
