in reply to: Where is your anchor? #38347
grumpy wrote: Actually I have 2 anchors, and don’t know where either one of them are, as the hunting season started before the canoe season ended. So things didn’t get put away properly. Hoping I don’t trip over them in the snow.
When I shoot the bow… There is a neat little hollow that my thumb settles into just in front of my ear. Strange, I know, but it is to get the longest draw I can with my short arms. That’s 22″. Also gets my anchor right next to the eye. Biggest fear is that I’ll get my curly locks tangled in the bow string. When I hear about 30″ + draw, I start thinking you must be dragging your knuckles on the ground…
there is neither large nor small guy The right size is when both feet easy touch the ground floor 😳
in reply to: Another knife sharpening trick – Video #38301I tried today with a mug cup It works very well 🙄

in reply to: Hoyt Buffalo #46486In fact, if you’r happy with your bow, why not enjoy it and stop to ask yourself if your choice could be better

in reply to: Hunting in the heat! #45920Simply do as African or Australian hunters do
Here in south of france we start wild boar hunting in august Very hot weather,
We pick up and butcher as soon as possible
If we let a dead animal one night meat is lost Nights are also very hot here
in reply to: Hunting in the heat! #45350Wait November Will be nice hunting weather :lol::lol:
in reply to: Asbell Anorak #39266Very very nice looking
I love wool and I have two complete wool suits from Filson http://www.filson.com/mens/coats-jackets/-1011/ )(pants jacket vest ,I love it
But wool is very very heavy Pants and jekets weight more than 10 % of your body weight (I weight around 180/185 Lbs )And so heavy clothes are not the best you can wish for hunting or any other outdoor activities
Wool is oldest and best to protect from cold, but to day ( 2015) it’s possible to find very lights protections for same or cheapest price and best protection
Wool vintage has good looking and smell adventure but prices are not vintage and moderns products refers wool a century ago

in reply to: Hoyt Buffalo #37603traders are not idiots they let a few negative evaluations to give a semblance of authenticity
This formula is known and used worldwide
Look at other sites it is the same formula to give a semblance of authenticity
That’s business nothing more nothing less and see your reply, it continues to operate :lol:
Yes dear bowhunter this is true !
in reply to: Hoyt Buffalo #36743I’ve never shot the bow, but I have read the reviews on the 3Rivers site. There are a LOT of reviews and the theme is that the bow is forgiving and shoots well.
Hi Steve ,
did you saw any reviews on 3 rivers or another web site sailor offering no forgiving bows ?
Forgiving and no shock are first quality all bow sailors or makers assure on their pub !
Everyone knows what to think about theses exceptional ‘’qualities ‘’
Try them and see 😳
in reply to: aluminum arrows #33597I am heavy arrows unconditional but I have to admit I killed some nice black bears in Canada with 55 Lbs compound and 2117 easton arrows with 125 grains blade
On an other hand with a 50 Lbs recurve I passed through a 170 Lbs wild boar ( and some others ) always with 2117 and 125 blade. One of my friends killed two African bigs buffalos with a Dwyer 60 Lbs Long Bow and 750 grains arrow single blade browhead
I believe placement and razor single blades are the key
in reply to: aluminum arrows #33129Just add carbon shaft in your alu arrow until you get wheight you ‘r looking for
This is the way we (all ) did 25 years ago
Now alu shafts are prehistoric weapons Better use wood if want be trad
in reply to: moderm recurve #32737Not at all for me, with trad bow do not ask too mutch
Just have someone to coatch you starting with good moves
