Worked up a sweat yesterday snowshoeing. Then fell down in 3+ feet of snow. Also saw a BUNCH of deer. Still have to use snowshoes to fill the bird feeders. If we have a fast thaw, there will be floods. Audrey insists I go out and shoot the new bow. I’ll need to shovel out the target. Weather report says 50* Wednesday. 😀

The hammer needs more snow. Went roving in snowshoes, but nobody would go with me to take pics.

Always surprises me when an arrow goes into a snowbank, without a trace. You would think it would leave a hole, and you could just dig it out but Nooooooooo. Of course with a wimpy little snow cover….

Two suggestions:

I have used a stair anti-slip treads that are a gray color. hard rubber with a rough surface for a grip on tools. Not much cushioning, but a really good grip.

You could also use STRETCH & SEAL. Thin, some cushioning, and clear.

Both at hardware stores.

I carry hand/foot/body warmers year round. You can get wet/cold any time of year here.

An old scratched up CD(Beatles) to use as a signal mirror.

Keep in mind that if the butane lighter is cold, it will not work, warm it up in your arm pit. It will work if you shake the water out.

Never did name the skunk family… unless skunk family is a name. After all there were 4 of them under the barn, Three left, and the fourth dropped by every night to check under the bird feeders, ans say hello as we sat by the campfire. We know one ended up on Route 9. “Didn’t see the station wagon car…”
