in reply to: Tired of haybales? #38648
My guess is you either keep your distance when you blind bale or wear full body armor. dwc
in reply to: Value of Reviews #38646If you guys make team shirts out of those things, you ought to cut the sleeves into fringes as a mark of distinction. Hate to see you blend into the crowd.. dwc

in you.
Sounds like a good children’s book, “Grumpy’s Furry Neighborhood.”
Doc, Feed bags are about 75 cents and will last all season. They might be quite as good of quality, but they do hold up well enough, especially for the price. Just keep Fred out of it.
I looked into a stall mat. Cheap enough, but that dead Presbyterian thing has me concerned… dwc
in reply to: turbulator variation? #38632Doc, thanks for passing along Troy’s advice. I’ll take some arrows out and see how they fly at a distance. One thing I know I have to be aware of is changing my form when shooting farther. It’s an old habit of trying to get a little more oomph into a long shot.
Steve, thanks for the clarification on the audio of fletching. No better reason.
Hope you guys all had a great day. peace, dwc
in reply to: Signs of Spring #38624Grumpy, sounds like a nice day, wet foot and all. dwc
in reply to: turbulator variation? #37330I put the tape on when i first went to short x 4 fletch. I used the auto pin stripe tape and placement as directed. I ended up taking it off. I didn’t see a difference. I’m not doubting the science, I’m figuring my wiggles and wobbles overran the effect of the foil. I do think it’s worth experimenting with, as it just might be the ticket. My arrows fly pretty nice, but I bet with some live instruction from a more experienced archer they could fly even better.
My arrows fly like darts at targets up to 20 yards or so, but sometimes when I fling them from farther out i see them wiggle a bit. Dwc
in reply to: What ya got goin? #36749Very nice! Thanks for posting this. Beautiful shot. dwc
in reply to: Anyone Experimented with EAOC? #34747Smithy, pipe dream, shaft dream?
in reply to: Anyone Experimented with EAOC? #34745Dave, I suppose the Bass-ackwards version passes the FAMILY FILTER better, too! 😯
The family filter is in effect, but the kids know better!
in reply to: What ya got goin? #34305The cooler project sounds neat. Wish you good luck. The year after I bought a big freezer I didn’t kill a deer! Dwc
in reply to: Anyone Experimented with EAOC? #34302Might’ve been a joke, but I’m sticking with bass-acwards! Dwc
in reply to: Traditional Snowshoes for Hunting #34024(but I’m still going to experiment with some bottle caps for traction 😆 )
In my experience, bottle caps led to horse power, but not to traction. 😉 dwc
in reply to: Anyone Experimented with EAOC? #34022Yep, I was the guy who looked at his shoes all day long… funny guy. thanks for an early day after smile, dwc
in reply to: Anyone Experimented with EAOC? #33619Yep, bass-acward it is, trickled down from ass-bacward to be sure.
But we digress. In my way of thinking I’d join Mike. As long as you can keep that thing flying straight it might work great, but if the rear gets a chance it might want to become the lead. I know if I bump a twig with efoc it maintains itself. I would like to test the acward-bass model to see what happens.
Keep in mind, efoc is still heresy in some schools and has naysayers on this site, too. So before stones are cast, let’s look at the science.
Thanks for posting this idea, Smithhammer. Good luck with your experiments. I look forward to the results, whatever they may be. Peace, dwc
in reply to: Building that EFOC & UEFOC arrow #31885Brennanherr, thanks for pushing this back up top. This is a great series on tuning. Great stuff. It all really helped me a lot. Thanks, dwc
