THERE YA GO, ALEX!!! Congrats! See, sometimes “progress doesn’t mean letting go of tradition”!!!
(Sorry Mom, couldn’t resist! Lol)
in reply to: 2014 Hunting #47296Congrats Ben on a fine harvest!
in reply to: Would you shoot a bedded animal? #47078Gosh! For me, this is actually a tough one. While I totally agree to sneak in on a bedded animal would be the ultimate accomplishment I would have to be absolutely sure I knew where those vitals were in that position. I’ve never even considered studying or practicing this type of situation. And lets be totally honest, a sleeping animal, arrowed in it’s bed is not going to pass peacfully in its sleep. It’s gonna wake up and come unglued. Gonna have to think about this some more.
in reply to: New Elkheart #47069That is a dandy Mike! So jealous. Gotta a nice takedown on my wish list. Gonna keep this in mind!
in reply to: Bison Gear "First Trip Explorer" Pack #47063I will be calling for sure. Gonna hold off until after the holidays to make the purchase though. My better half has informed me that apparently I have exhausted my toy budget for this year! Hmmmm, I wasn’t aware I had one until now???:(
in reply to: CALIFORNIA DREAMING #47060Wow guys! What a day full of memories! Congratulations to both of you!
in reply to: Unionsuits #47057I just threw up in my mouth a little.:?
in reply to: Feeling Weird #47047I’m right there too guys. Haven’t gun hunted in years and consider myself a one weapon hunter now. It’s hard to explain but it just doesn’t feel the same. And with 15″ of snow on the ground here already, you can bet your a$$ I miss mid September and early October!!!!
in reply to: Bison Gear "First Trip Explorer" Pack #43620Great stuff SH! I’ve been dwelling on the Bison gear packs for a while now and I have my heart set on the Lost River for next year. Thanks for all the info and the solid endorsement!
in reply to: ATV wheelie #35390Whiskey! Tango! Foxtrot! Unfortunately Dave, I don’t think this is only the future of hunting!
Same here guys! Been seeing deer almost every time out lately and had so good close encounters with some does but we’re buck only by me this year and they’ve been scarce of late. The rubs and scrapes are starting to show up seemingly daily now so like you said Grumpy, things should start getting interesting really soon!
Good luck everyone!
in reply to: What a year it's been! #32790Way to Patrick!!! How about that ground game!?!? Very excited for you, Congrats!
in reply to: Garbaging for Bears #25120I’m sorry etter but I gotta chew on this just a little more to help me understand. Maybe your background will help me a bit. In the case of wildlife management… When someone chooses to plant a food plot for the sole purpose of possibly harvesting 1 or 2 deer off it, while their plot has helped the health and survival of who knows how many more, has the plot been an effective management tool? I’m not trying to pick on you, seriously. This is a legitimate question because I have no education in this field and I want to understand the logic? I’m trying to compare it against what seems to me to be a common sense contradiction in thought? I’m probably missing something, I just don’t know what?
in reply to: Lost Season, Maybe Worse #23336I literally feel your pain here, Don. I destroyed my rotator cuff in a fall off a scaffold 5 years ago. It took a very very very long time but eventually, I regained full strength and range of motion in the cuff. Be patient, you CAN recover from this! Best of luck to you with surgery. I hope all goes well!
