      Clay –

I have not seen it yet with that type of aircraft, but had heard and read that some of the big Deer & Elk outfitters were using them {get one up on the Competition – us}Know of some guides using small aircraft for same. Here in the SW, AZ especially during Elk season. One person in the camp will have a tag and have 6 “friends” to help him. So fewer tags to limit the human impact isn’t working as invisioned. they have a lot of ATVs too.

The more Technology {early archery now having a high kill rate as mentioned} we use to chase Game will see the end of support, from the majority of Non Hunters who currently “go along” with Hunting. Whether “they” should have a say in it or not from our viewpoint, doesn’t matter as they can and will be a decisive factor in the future.

I am a member of BHA as I believe all of us here should be.

I also believe we should all exhibit as high an ethical example as possible. Show respect for the animals always. To include the proper way to transport and especially record our hunts { read Photos }. If done with good taste one can use the photo album to influence others to take up bowhunting or at the least, see it as a legitimate endeavor.

There be “Dragons” ahead. Go properly “Armed to do Battle”

            Dave –

Let’s keep the “Status Quo” – We love it and you can’t help it –haha

even if we agree to disagree with you, it is always an adult / fun / sometimes Raucous Argument ! You keep us on our ethical toes –

Thanks for all your posts in the past and looking for many more in the future.

              Tailfeather –

Your primitive tackle looks really good!

I believe that because the materials are coming from the area you hunt and your obvious field skills, will prove you successful!!

I cannot hunt at my House. All my hunts are expeditions as it were. I keep all my Camping/Hunting/Field Gear in WP{waterproof] containers, Bags or Packs marked accordingly. Depending on type, they reside in a shed or the garage. when I return from the field I replace any equipment as needed, and put the bags up -thus all I have to do when ready to hit the trail, is throw them in the truck and Ride.

Since I am on the road alot, I also have a set of Gear specifically for Survival/ltwt camping/Scouting: if I get a break while traveling or where I am working, to hunt or just be a woods bum. Takedown Bows are handy for this—

That looks like a “Texas Heart shot” on that 3d pig!?! haha

Yes NM used to be great hunting. Still pretty good for some animals in certain parts.Getting tougher to draw and more expensive for all —

I totally agree with Dave [I do not have a smidgen of his literary knowledge or skills- but I read A LOT! haha] , and also recommend these 2 books – I read Dersu a long time ago [saw the movie in a college art theatre]excellent.

I found the Tiger very interesting! – the part about Russia’s “Wilderness Areas” set up by the Czar and still around thru all Russia’s turmoil to the present, very intriquing. Full of good info on the Land/people/nature in an exotic part of the world, all wrapped up in a Modern “Man Eating Tiger hunt” story!

Yes I shoot a similar FP target and find the rear tapered FPs from 3Rs work best [Boat tailed Field pt] I hold near the hit and pull.
