Heydeerman, The thought of using them with a fast flight bowstring being the problem did occur to me. Of course there is a but, I’ve been shooting my Fox long bow w/fastflight for 5 seasons now. Before that I used a Martin Hatfield T/D w/dacron and had them fail with that too. I’m also, shooting bohning classics now,(going to switch to the mercury speed nocks when they get here), and your right I have not had, nor am I having problems with them, Thank you for your input. Iv’e often wondered this about the snap on nocks, WHY? It seems to me the cons out weigh the pro’s. The pro would be that they stay on your string, say when your not paying attention in a tree stand for example. The cons might be that they may fit to tightly causing tuning problems, I’ve in print where you should relieve the tension with sandpaper. O.K., then why have a snapon nock in the first place. Another, they can be a little noisy, although I must say one would need sound eqipment to probably hear it, and, they slow down your arrow. I’ve done the relieving of the tension and chronograghed it against one that isn’t, you lose, in my case 10fps. I’ve wondered “why”, for a long time, being limited to using the snap on nocks, as that is all that was available, or so I thought, BUT, i’ve found them now, mercury nocks, and have placed an order for 6 dozen of the, hopefully, bow saviors, of course in assorted colors.
Does anybody know who makes the Nirk nocks? I’ve tried finding out but to know avail. Crash87

At one time the thinking was that right handed shooter should shoot left wing, something to do with the way the arrow “spun off” the rest, away as opposed to into. Many times things that are repeated time and time again. somehow become the rule, until, someone asks “Why?
If you look into this matter by those who have experimented and weed out the phallacies and advertizing hype you will find that it really doesn’t matter. Don’t believe me? All you have to do is try it. Because I succumb to the L.W. R.H. theory all those years ago that is what I use. A dozen R.W. feathers and a friends clamp alowed me to come to the conclusion that, for me anyway, it doesn’t matter. I will say though I’m talking at game taking ranges, (you decide what that means to you.)
But, there is an advantage to R.W. for R.handed shooters and it has nothing to do with arrow flight. If you use screw in tips the arrow tip will never loosen, as it is being tightened as it hit’s the target. Left wing will loosen the tip. Give it a try and good shoot’n, crash87

I live along a railroad track and stump shoot on a regular basis, with my son and daughter. No, there are no stumps but, plenty of targets. I do not take my good arrows but rather my stump shootn’ arrows. But be careful, as I have pulled arrows (aluminum)out of the ground only to find they were bent by a rock. 1/2 doz this year alone. My kids shoot carbon and have yet to have one rendered useless. Get yourself, like I did, a 1/2 doz. carbons, your mortality rate will go down to practicaly non existent. Have fun, crash87 aka 26th Stump Shooters:)
