Its been warm and extremely dry for us here in Florida. So dry most of the hogs have migrated onto others places that I dont have permission to hunt. Which stinks because I like to hunt a lot during jan feb and march because thats usually when its the coolest here. But the good news is were getting hammered by some good rains right now and the hogs should filter back in a few weeks.

I shoot the 190 grain heads and they are just unbelievably devastating. I wouldn’t shoot them at an elk, but for deer, bear, pigs, etc, they are just brutal!

They tune easily, fly perfectly, and leave a massive wound channel. I’ve had zero penetration problems with them either.

Curious about your reply. Why wouldn’t you use them on Elk?

I’ve been shooting VPA terminators lately. Have used abowyer Magnus stingers stos.

Nice shot. Stinks to loose a arrow like that.

Currently I have about 10 bows. Mostly glass bows but do have a BBO and board bow. There all fun to shoot.

I prefer my absorkee quiver from Farr west leather. It’s a hip quiver but I just tied a little piece of cord through the D-ring and when I’m in a tree stand then it can hang.

I do have other quivers that I use but the back quiver is a little noisy and a bow mounted quiver kinda gets in my way when in a ground popup blind.

Look up thunderbird archery and they sell a paint pen kit that comes in black or white. Won’t run, bleed, or fade then re shoot the area with a couple coats of thunderbird finish.

#2 bobbly lobby extra fine paint pen.

#3 calligraphy pen and India ink.

But first get on the horn with BW and ask what type of finish they use and see if they can re spray that area for you after you tell them what you want. They should be willing to do that for you. If not then find a local bowyer and see if he can touch up your finish in a spot.

                    Hope this helps

My paper subscription ran out so my wife said why don’t you just do it digitally. I looked at her funny and had to ask what she meant. So here I am I think I got it figured out.

Shawn Hultquist live just south of Jacksonville Florida for now planning on moving back to Texas in a few years when I retire from the fire dept. wife and I own and operate coastal bend bows. I build about 25 custom bows a year.

                      Thanks Shawn
