      Glad you are OK. It happened to me also around 8 years ago. I was hunting a management area hunt and it sounded like a war with all the guns going off. I was 20 ft. up in a tree and I hear a gun go off around 150 yards away. Then I hear a ricochet that was very close to me. I got down and left.

        I use Surewood shafts. All but one out of 3 dozen was straight and tend to stay straight. They are the best wooden shafts I have ever used. They are douglas fir.I also use Minwax stain and sealer on them with fletch tape for the fletchings.

          A few of mine. Nothing expensive. I use the large knife for making ground blinds and for fire wood and camp chores.

            I like a David Creger. It fits right and collapses good conforming to your back.
