I was not drawn for any special season. I had applied for an elk tag for a season in an area that is very close to home but was unsuccessful. I live on a 100 acre parcel that is nothing but deer habitat so I plan on lots of hunting at home.

I also am planning a 3-4 day deer hunt a little ways away from home in mid october with my wall tent. That trip is as much about the camping as it is hunting:wink:

Deer numbers are down lots in sothwestern Manitlba.

I would like to enter my granddaughter Madeleine Mervinska in the contest. She is seven years old and likes shooting a Bear bow that we got her a while ago. She also has two smaller cousins that would enjoy using the bow after she has grown out of it.

Does the PBS have much of a Canadian representation ?

I’m asking the question because at this point, Manitoba does not have crossbows included in any archery season. Mr Fischer has mentioned that the organization has “fought hard and long against the inclusion of crossbows. I’d certainly be in favor of that. I guess the next step for me would be to get my cheque book out ❗

Hard for me to imagine they can just disappear in all those mountains and gorges, but I guess they did.
