I’m actually hoping to get a chance this year to hunt elk/bear. Working fires all summer tends to hurt my hunting plans for early seasons though.

It looks like they might still be setting up the website, but what that guy can shoot is crazy. Thanks for the link.

I really like that elk hunting generally leads to grouse encounters. I’ve learned to watch them closely after being shoot. Had one fly down the mountain without a head once. Thinking that chuckar would be a real challenge being the terrain and they’re habbits. Any advice on aerial shots/equipment. What broadheads would work best?

Thanks again for all the information. Looking at getting my first bow at 45lbs. Practice practice practice and go from there.

Again thanks for all the advice. I haven’t really had time to try out any bows since its the middle of fire season, so next chance I get I’ll go in and try out a few. Until then I’ll just keep day dreaming.

Thanks for the advice. I know a lot depends on my ability for draw weight. Guess I’m looking more for what would be a recommended draw weight for taking game? 40lbs is the legal minimum but to me that seems way to low for ethically going after elk/bear? But like I said I’m starting over so maybe I’m wrong? Having two different bows doesn’t sound like a bad idea either.
