Just finished The Temple Tiger by Jim Corbett
While hunting the Talla Des Man-Eater he is discussing the importance of experince with the animal you are hunting.
“Experience engenders confidence, and without these two very important assests the hunting of a man-eating tiger on foot, and alone, would be a very unpleasant way of committing suicide.”
His abilities astound. If you haven’t read any of his books give them a go.

in reply to: tuning methods #31331Dr Ed posted on another thread his method for tuning. It was the grouping method which is what I use. I have done bare shadt tuning but I can never tell what is the arrow and what is me. But Troy’s method works well for many. Try them all and see what works best for you is my advice.
in reply to: Spring shoot #29822in reply to: Emergency Gear #25978I enjoy both SH’s and Dave’s as well as everyone elses different views on gear and what is needed or not. I also find myself being gear driven. Comes from my old ways of hunting. So I am always interested on what people use and if the items are quility. But I value the side of less is more and I try to follow that philosophy, if not very well.
And Mike leaving the gun at home is much easier said then done!!!
Thanks for keeping the brain working.

Thanks for sharing all the beautiful scenery with us this winter!! I also quite enjoyed another classic GBP. Always such nice looking bows. I am looking forward to your spring outings.

in reply to: Spring shoot #16499SH,
We are with you on that. You can note your scores on a card for each target and I think something happens in the end. We show up for fun and practice. No scores just real world shooting with some friendly pressure. It is a great time.

The bow on the right is my Elk Heart with a Great Northern Quiver. Wojo will have to give you his bow info.
in reply to: Shaking the Rust Off #13735Paleo,
I am with Mike. Shooting everyday is the key. Working out is great and we all should keep at it. But for accuracy and good form shooting daily is the best medicine. I shoot as much as possible in my basement and garage. I find that using one bow also makes a big difference.
Mike don’t worry I will pull a couple shoots on our next outting:D!!! I am looking forward to our next get together!!

in reply to: damage on the side of limb #60535Alex,
I would send it to Gregg. Besides the repair he could tell you how bad the damage to the limb is and the repair might be more in depth then expected. It is a great looking limb hope the repair goes well!

I also value reviews. I nearly lost it reading some of those three wolf and moon reviews. Thanks for sharing.
