My name is Tim,I live in S.E.PA with my beautiful wife and i have been shooting a bow for 29 years.Mostly compounds but have really fell in love with shooting a longbow last year and now love traditional archery. This is my first year hunting with my longbow and i am loving it.

I agree with Danny Klee,I just wash all my hunting clothes in with all my reg. clothes with scented detergent.I try to keep the wind in my favor and just hunt.It must work because i have been killing deer every year for the last 20 years with most of my shots under 15 yards.I had a buck put his head in my blind this year and another one walk past my blind at 4 yards any he never knew i was there.I just don’t see why alot of hunters feel they need to use all the scent free products on the market when hunters have been killing deer long before the were around.

All i know is that i have tried all kinds of scents over the last 20 years and have had no luck with them at all.I don’t spend money on them anymore.I have used grunt calls for the last 20 years and have killed alot of deer that i have called in.I think i will stick with my grunt calls.

The weather here in S.E.PA has been in the upper 40’s all week and today it’s raining, all day.I have been out hunting a couple of times this week but have not seen a single deer.Thats ok because i have realy enjoyed my time in the woods this year.I like your pics Duncan, hunt safe and shoot strait.

I shoot a Tomahawk longbow and love it.They are fast, smooth, forgiving, shoot where you look and have no hand shock. You can’t go wrong with a Tomahawk longbow.

I belive we hunt with traditional bows because how we hunt is more important than how many animals we kill. When we do kill an animal it is so much more rewarding because we truly hunted and did it the hard way.Stay with it and enjoy the hunt for what it is,an adventure.
