“The closest thing I can relate it to would be trying to hit a living golf ball that had a chronic case of paranoia and was strung up on cocaine.” lol haha… I know what you mean… I shot one a few years ago with a “C” word bow (before i started shooting a real bow) anyway they are fun and hard to shoot… nice bow by the way….
in reply to: who carrys a backup gun #2873524 hours a day 7 days a week 365 day a year i have a gun within arms reach of me. when i was a teenager hunting in Missouri i came across some “farmers crops” out in the middle of know where and i did have a shotgun on me then (squirrel hunting) but the thought came to my mind “what if they had seen me and what if i didnt have a gun?” ever since any time i’m in the woods you better bet i got at least a CCH pistol with me. And no i didnt help my self to any of there “crops” lol
in reply to: been awhile but i'm back… #23337oh i am only starting out with about 20 minutes at the range (back yard) to get back into it, but i was reffering to even when i shot everyday, i dont know i just feel like i would be more accurate with a lighter bow… now does any one have a suggestion on a good arrow weight/spine for a 45# longbow? i have a 28″ draw and i’m shooting 2117 30″ aluminum arrows with a 220 gr point right now for my recurve…

in reply to: Treestand Safety #9761i once was using a climing tree stand and i got about 30 feet in the air and some how it didnt catch onto the tree right i guess and i slid down to the ground at what felt like about 100 miles an hour, i didnt have any kind of strap on and was VERY lucky not to get hurt anymore then bruises and scrapes but it could have been much worse, and honestly getting into a tree now scares the crap out of me so i dont but i will say everyone is right on, where a harness not a waist band and dont use climers they suck lol
in reply to: differant weights? #8443Steve and Ed i agree 100% with going with carbons but do to my evry tight budget i got some aluminum arrows (i can buy 3 dozen aluminum arrows for less then the price of 1 dozen gold tips, but next year i think i will invest!) i also got 75 grain glue on point adapters and a 11/32nd point test weight kit, so we shall see!!!
