in reply to: What broadheads do you like? #46553
I’ve just ordered some Zwicky Eskimos 160gr for this season. Am looking forward to using a heaad with such history. Used Razorheads years ago, but they’ve all gone out with the tide.
in reply to: Arrows???? #43113This is probably a silly question, but are you drawing right handed with a right dominant eye?
in reply to: Please introduce yourselves, I'll start #37509Hi Everyone, I’m Jeff Stewart from Maine. When I’m not hunting with either my longbow or recurve, I’m flyfishing for trout or landlocked salmon on the many rivers, streams, and remote ponds in our beautiful state. I grow organic vegetables for my living (such as it is).
in reply to: Elkheart arrived! #36700Man, that Elkheart is one beautiful bow. Certainly in the top five of my wish list. Congrat’s.
in reply to: Favorite Traditional Web Searches #36691I spend much time on Tradgang.com, and some time on Tradhunter.com. If you Reddit, I have a sub called r/tradbowhunting. And YouTube, of course.
in reply to: what quivers do you prefer? #35727I use an Arrowmaster and like it a bunch. Access to my arrows is very convenient without much movement.
in reply to: Wonderful News! #35722Congratulations!
in reply to: Had the day off #35716Great shot! I’d use any ol’ chicken recipe on that pigeon if it were in my kitchen.
in reply to: wool or camo? #26698Camo for turkeys and jeans and checked flannel shirt for other critters. Wool when the cold sets in.
in reply to: Finding bigfoot #17799I knew a computer-savy guy who’d take the cards out of people’s game cams, bring them home to his computer, and photoshop things into the photos, then replace the card without anyone knowing. The only one I can remember now is he photoshopped Bigfoot into one of them. I can just imagine the surprise on the faces of unsuspecting folks. Kids these days.
in reply to: from the home page #17790Mineral oil here, though I have considered using the black magic marker trick. Not sure why though.
in reply to: How many bows do you have? #14381Repost
in reply to: Best Fletching Cement? #14374I’ve had no problems with Duco Cement. And Family Dollar sells it for $1.39 a tube.
in reply to: What's in a Name? #14369Goraidh was a Norse King who ruled the north of Scotland. It’s hinted that the name “Goraidh” is the ancient ancestor of my name, Jeff.
in reply to: How many bows do you have? #11055I’ve two bows: a Martin Mountaineer longbow 60# @ 28 and a Bear Grizzly 50# @ 28. Love them both.
