I was hopin’ you’d take that with good humor. Yah, shoot, with gin in one hand and a bag of starbursts in the other how could I lose? We had fun and we’ll certainly do it again.

Hello J Wesbrock, Thanks! I found it at E.W. Bateman. I looked on ebay but EW Bateman is the much smarter buy!

          Hello Troy,

Put my name in for your fantastic give-away. This Texas Boy would love showing-off a beutiful bow like that. I’d even let my daughter use it! 🙂

I’m here in Copperas Cove Texas, It’s been hot and dry much too long! I don’t remember any previous year that can match this years heat-drought! I don’t see mesquite beans, acorns, wild pears and the pecan trees look dried-up too. I’m really wondering what the animals (not just deer) are eating and drinking? They some times hop my fence and drink from the pool and eat from my “watered pear trees”. Thank God I don’t have to live like they do. I’m thinking that we are going to have to import camels for our future hunting and wildlife experiences.:(

                  Hello David Peterson,

Thanks for your perspective on arrows. For awhile there I felt kind of alone. It seemed that people who wanted arrows for hunting were either choosing heavy wood or heavy aluminum. I was enjoying my Carbon arrows, quietly, so that no-one noticed.:D

Seems like I joined up with pretty traditional crowd when I signed up with traditonal bowhunter. Geez, I was surprised to hear that people would throw away a Cabela’s Catalogue!

OK, OK I must agree that there is truely too much fancy junk on the pages for Compound bows and Crossbows. And really, very much overpriced junk….. but one man’s junk is another man’s dream. I’ve seen it happen that way so many times. I enjoy my compound bow almost as much as my two recurve bows, but the junk gadjets, i can’t understand.

Now, for the rest of Cabela’s, Geez, all that fantastic outdoors stuff. wow, what’s wrong with that? camping fishint hiking, etc etc, wow!:D

Carbon arrows are fast but wood or aluminum, being heavier, get better penetration. Any thoughts on the matter?

I had the same question as you about arrows. I found an excellent answer in Byron Ferguson’s “Become the Arrow”. Especially if you intend to hunt, his answer will point you well.:D
