Thanks for the help guys. I did end up biting the bullet and ordering a dozen 7595 blems.

It’s pretty amazing the difference in speed between a 28″ 5575 and a 32″7595. It’s a lot slower now, but it’s also much quieter and penetrates deeper into the target. In the long run, they’ll be better for hunting. I don’t see myself shooting past 15 yards anyway so the difference in speed is negligible.

I figured with this setup, I could always take on much bigger game too and some of the bears we’ll be after in september could be up to 600lbs.

Would love to be there. Just joined BHA recently myself, but Boise is a bit far for me to fly to twice in one year. Have fun everyone.

Keeping things neat & tidy all the way from the field to the table seems to add a little more value to the whole experience.

I woke up this morning pretty plugged up in the head but cleared out after an hour or so. Wear a mask!

I hate the smell of cutting through their legs with a hacksaw too. Probably similar.

It’s an ongoing joke with Broadhead and me. He’s close to twice my age and he’s one of my best friends. When we meet somebody new, I often introduce him as my dad.:D

They are incredible creatures. I had over a dozen gobblers in shotgun range last year and only killed two! I imagine it’s going to be a larger ratio with a recurve.:D

We’re allowed three turkeys here in GA. If I get lucky enough to get two out of the way with the shotgun, I’ll try for the third for a while with my recurve.

Have never bowhunted them before, but it seems like the supreme big game challenge! And yes, I was looking for pigs to kill yesterday.

At the same time, I feel it’s another slippery slope. Just like everything that has happened in California. There are now several states in the Pacific Northwest that have outlawed hound hunting. I have to believe that this was largely due to the fact that the rest of the hunting public (non-hound hunters) didn’t stand up and fight for their brothers and sisters.

I don’t consider high fence operations hunting, but where does it end?

Just think about that guy bragging to us about picking out exotic animals in an inclosure and asking his host, “How much for that one? Oh, that’s too much. What is the price for killing that?”

This is is a practice hunting can survive without.

                      Absolutely true!

But so can we say the same things about guides who tree a mountain lion and then call the client to come in and kill it. Same as the deer in texas that gets sold on sight to the client at the feeder. Same as the antelope that comes to the same stock tank every day.

These are all lines that we draw personally. We are under such scrutiny that I have to think we need a united front.

I don’t own an AR15 but I don’t want the government to stop me from owning one.

No, at the ranges I shoot deer, I’m not concerned. Last year I shot 5 arrows through big game animals. Most were with a 50lbs at 28inches bow that I draw to 26 inches. I was shooting 30″ 3555s with standard inserts and 170-190 gr broadheads that were 2″ wide.

Sharpen em right and they’ll go through like butter!

I never would have believed just how deadly traditional bows really are.

Thanks guys. I’ll never shoot anything but carbon, I don’t think. Guess I’ll look for this goat stuff!

BTW- There is nothing wrong with NPV and it is strong as can be once it’s dried. Just wondered what was out there.
