I would like to start by wishing everyone a great day and awesome week-end. Wow, the turn out was overwhelming, I didn’t think there was going to be this many people adding their names for the Maasai broadhead draw.

I will draw the lucky winner in a few hours but I have to tell you thank you again.

I personnaly believe that in the world we live in today, we can truly make a difference with the people around us by sharing the simplest of gifts, a smile.

The smiles and heartfelt welcome my family has received from all of you traditionalists has made a positive impact in our lives, thank you so very much.

in reply to: longbow or recurve #9689

I know you haven’t mentioned them in your question but I have to say I really like shooting my little flatbow, I love that feeling and appreciate its weight and size. If I would have to choose a second place bow, I have to go with the longbow. A close third has to be my recurve however if I am about to go hunting in winter time, in -30 degree C weather, my recurve is always my first choice because of how it was built and its flexibility in cold temperatures.

          Nice tread !!!

Pothunter, a friend of mine had the same type dogs in the community I used to live in and I remember how they always ran and jumped around everywhere, also great family dogs ! Thank you for posting them 🙂

Listen King, on a hog hunt, I’d be doing dishes in the morning, after lunch and after diner, heck, I’d do dishes from the day I’d start till the end and I’d cook too, and make coffee 🙂 LOL

What an outstanding hog hunting tread 😀

Alright, I’m actually interested in what your actual hog set up would be !!?

” Anything is possible in this world if you add to it a bit of hope “

I’ll start, ok, I would shoot a hog with my short Quartermoon flatbow, Alaskan Grizzlystik 30″ and a 200 grain Single Bevel Maasai. My draw length is 28″ so I’d really feel comfortable using that set up knowing all that I know about hog hunting.

How does that sound, keeping in mind that would be my actual set up.

There we go, I finally found my bowhunting pics. We went up the Willow River by canoe and had a wonderful time, lots of moose, woodland caribou and bears 🙂

This is what our canoe looked like, I must say it was full !! and a picture of our wall tent set up.

I don’t know but if any of you ever need someone to be the camp cook or need a guy to haul out the hogs, or even to cook on a spit, sharpen broadheads, heck, I’ll even do the dishes if I have too, let me know 😆

Hunting hogs seems to be something else !!!

SB – with a really big smile on his face 😀

You made me smile right there 🙂 Yes, I did reposition the nock to allow for the elevation…

                                Excellent question though !!
