in reply to: Feeling like a Dinosaur…… #46975
I for one love this subject! I love the mail order catalogs as they make great cat litter box liners! I love the tecno junkies as a couple of places that I hunt don’t allow motorized vechicals, These tecno junkies are so loaded down with all the latest and greatest that they can only make it into the woods 100 yards if that, and the ones that ride mountain bikes with carts hooked on well they are so busy making so much noise they push game out before they settle in for their hunts! It all works good for me!
I like being a dinosaur,it’s a simpler way of life!!in reply to: whats everyone favorite BOW ? #13080Kajika stik Long bow and recurve by whisperstik bows I have both!
in reply to: Blood…huh…hair on my grizzlies!!! #10464I was having the same trouble trying to sharpen grizzly heads with a file! then I just broke down and bought the grizzly stik sharpening system from the alaska bowhunting co. now I can get all my two blade heads and single bevel heads hair pop ing sharp in minutes instead of hours! Warning though, wear proper saftey equiptment when using this system, and it takes a tad bit of pratice to get the angle right, but when you do, watch out!! I think this is cheating or something, but I don’t worrie about my heads being sharp enough anymore!!

in reply to: Sick as a dog (wombat ;) #7976What I usually do when my body says shoot and i’m to sick to do so, is take a few days of soild rest, then I forse myself to shoot even if it’s just acouple arrows, and read tbm or go to these trad related sites! I’ll shoot everyday after, maybe shooting one more arrow than the day before<unless I feel like i'm geting sicker! You have worked hard to come as far,so at least shoot one arrow if you can each day! that first arrow is the important one anyway!!
in reply to: 2 Blade double bevel and 3 blade vs single bevel #7769Hi All, I’m new on here, but not new to traditional bowhunting! I have spent some time testing different heads for hunting! My findings are pretty much the same as everyone else! But i do have a question about single bevels vs. double bevels(something i’m having trouble to prove thru testing) Does a single bevel(being matched left bevel, left wing fletch or visa a versa) impart more spin on your arrow in flight thus making the arrow fly more accurate? I realize that in the animal it does such! Just wondering what you all think!!
