whats the best way to hunt them??? Last night I sat at a wallow did some light calling and had a bull but would not come in. When I slipped out he gave me a light goodbye bugle I smiled and figured I would be back on Sat morning. Any ideas?

I have heard to stay quiet at a Wallow. Reason being the elk are not expecting or wanting any company there.

I have also read that a bull will often use the same trail to exit that he came in on. So maybe hunt the trail leading in or glass from a distance and get up on it when he is busy in there.

I’m no expert though. Hoping to get my first elk next week!

That was pretty darn cool. Ballsy too.

I usually sit quiet and wait for them to come in if they are. I try and set up on the side where they are most likely to come in on.
