I’m looking for suggestions on a tannery to send a bear hide to. Does anyone have any experience(good or bad) with tanneries in the western states?

          Clay,

We have one or two tanneries that I know of here in Kalispell. I don’t know anything about their workmanship, but I know they exist. You might look them up. Good luck finding a good tannery for your bear hide.

there is a tannery in your garage or workshop or shed? Dont know what kind of patients or time you have. Never tanned a bear hide myself, one day, lol. My great uncle was a trapper, and great outdoorsman, he had a 20 by 60 mile trapping lease in the yukon. He said that tanning a bear hide was too much work for him! And he was a hard worker! Anyway, way off topic and no help at all, good luck finding a tannery!
