I’ve not been gone, just hanging out…Grateful for cataract surgery in both eyes. Amazing what I can see now, I can even see what it was I shoulda hit..:-))
I’ve lost my hunting place I had for 26 years but time takes it’s toll. I’ve not been back to the public hunting area at the Lake Meredith rec area since a very unpleasant episode years ago.
I’m having to adapt to a new thumb position on my string hand. I’ve always, 65 years or so, shot with my thumb tucked. Arthritis in the base of my thumb joint has put a whoa to that. But I’m gaining and at eighty one I ain’t quitting til I cain’t…
All be well

Welcome back !!!!!

Hang in there Ralph. I had retina surgery in my right eye and then cataract surgery in both eyes. It took some getting used to. Then five years ago I had cervical fusion done on my neck because of Spondylosis. That ailment ain’t fun.
Last July I took a spill in the Smoky Mtns and tore my left bicep tendon. I’m still working on that to get back to full shooting on some of my heavier bows. I’ve got a couple that I can’t even string anymore. Age is creeping up on us.

Glad the cataract surgery went well. My Sweetie had both eyes done a number of years ago and it really made a big difference for her. I have cataracts but they aren’t “ripe” yet so no surgery for me.
Hang in there, eighty-one is where I am also. I’ve slowed down a little and there are things I know I can do but they get vetoed by Carol, who thinks I will fall apart any day now. I hope she doesn’t know something I don’t!
