Hi All. I am sitting here wracking my brain to think of a tip for this week’s newsletter.:? I usually end up in this position on Mondays and I’d like to avoid that in the future. So here’s my idea:
I will give a Traditional Bowhunter hat (dark green or tan) to anyone that sends me a usable tip with at least one photo. The tip should be about 250 words and the photo a clear image of what the tip is about. (I can adjust the image size if needed.)
Please email your tip and photo to me at webmaster@tradbow.com and include your name, mailing address and hat color selection. Hopefully we’ll see a whole new batch of ideas from our members. 😀 Thanks!

Good one, Patrick! I mean,if we could only dispense with the stinking and unreasonable “usable” part, we could have some real FUN here, like … “Sring Saving Tip” — “Be sure to put your arrow on the string with the broadhead facing forward. I have found this tip to cut way down on the number of string I go through.” Or … “Beginner’s tip” — “I have found that by making sure my bow is turned right-side up before every practice session, I have far fewer arrows fall off the shelf.” Now, let’s hear it from you, P, and our fellow “Useless Tipsters.” 8):P:twisted::roll::wink: etc. Snuffynotsnuffornot

You asked 🙂
Tip #1:The advantages of shooting game at extremely long distances.
I find that by shooting at deer at excessively long ranges, I’m much less likely to spook deer when…ooops…I mean IF I miss. Makes it MUCH easier to pull off multiple shots.

I will be forced to publish useless tips if I don’t come up with something soon. 😆 (Some would argue we’ve already done that!) 8)

LOL! I really am racking my brain for real ones. I requires a rather large lever though.

I have to ask if the tips are intended for beginners or old pros, or both? I can see how some of the things I’ve recently posted, in response to questions posted, might make some of the old pros here roll their eyes. But what is useless to one person might really be something useful to another. I think some of the best tips have come from the questions asked on the forum. Maybe the “tip of the month” could be taken from the forum itself? Just my 2 cents.

The tips are meant for everyone. Some of the more experienced hunters may already know these things, but you never know when it will be something useful that you can use.
There have been lots of great ideas and helpful hints posted here on the forums. I would be happy to use some of those, and I have in the past. Send me a PM or email with your post and I’ll see if we can make it work. Thanks.

I’m with you on the pictures. Tips are one thing but pictures? That means runnin’ the camera then knowing how to send them on the ‘puter. Almost too much to figure out.
Sure would like one of them hats though. -
Okay. Plan B. Send me two usable tips and if I can shoot/get images for them I’ll give you the hat. Fair enough?

One sent.

Thanks, Dave. You’ll be sportin’ a nice new hat in about a week. I appreciate the help. 😀
