I was watching Fred Eichler Fishing for Gator Gar and noticed he ties his nylon line directly to the shaft of his arrow. No Safety Slide and No Roller Rest for his Arrow. He shot off the shelf of his Recurve without incident. Does anybody else here do this. I know that safety comes first but I have to admit that this looks so much easier and I bet it shoots better too. One more question, will cutting the arrow to our drawlength help any?

negative on paper tuning bowfishing arrows….Just wondering if anyone else sets up there gear in this manner and if it works out fine. Im just afraid of an arrow jumping back at me and slapping me in my face or skewering me.
