I think I’ve figured out what causes the double posts. When hitting the Save button after typing your comment, only click it once. I suspect that a few of you are double clicking that button, which causes the comment to post twice.
I sure don’t mind deleting them, but I’m not always around or have trouble finding which threads have double posts. Some of you work around it through an edit, and that’s fine too. I just thought I would share my suspicion and see if that is the cause. 8)
Comments? Thoughts?

I guess that I goofed,Robin.

Yes, that’s the cause of it. But the reason folks click twice is that it can take a few seconds of “dead air” after clicking save before things start to happen, and that delay prompts us to think “better click it again.” When posting photos it can really take a while. Patience is required with a less than instant program.

Haha!! I was just gonna say what Dave said! Sometimes I get impatient and think the click didn’t “take” so I click it again.
Robin, is there any way to add in a “Delete” button on the “Edit” option, so we can delete our doubles when they appear?

Wayne, I wasn’t pointing any fingers. You certainly are not the only one to do this. And I didn’t mean to make it sound like I was scolding, just sharing an observation.
Michael, I thought it was an option…it is for me. 😀 I really thought that each member could delete their own posts. Maybe something changed with the last update. I’ll contact the vendor to see what can be done.
“Patience Grasshopper(s)” Sometimes it’s our site and sometimes it your internet speed. I’ve never had to wait that long after clicking Send, and I don’t have super-fast internet speed. 😕 I just know that sometimes we get in the habit of double clicking something, like opening a program, and that could be one reason for double posts.

It seems as though it used to be an option, but I could be wrong or thinking of a different forum. As for patience….What’s that?? LOL!
