Some of you may have heard that we’ve been working on a new, improved, Tradbow.com. I am so excited to get past a lot of the limitations that this site has. I know change is hard, and after 8 years we are all kind of used to this, but I really hope you will like the ease and simplicity of the new site.
So, over the next day or two you will likely see lots of changes. Please bear with us as we get the new site up and running, and the old site changed so that we can still access these forum posts. I’d like to start new topics in the new forum, but also give you access to finish up conversations, or search for old posts here. Unfortunately, the old stuff is not transferrable, because it’s old and this software is so outdated. R2, would you start a new “What ya got goin?” thread?
If you have a Premium Membership, your user name and email will transfer over sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, but you will have to do a password reset to actually log in. That’s a one-time thing (unless you forget your password 😀 ) to get you set up on the new site. If you aren’t a Premium Member, just go to the new site and Register your user information and select a password. If it doesn’t work, wait a few hours and try again.
If you want to go back and forth between the old site and the new site, you will have to log in to both. It’s probably best to keep your user name and passwords the same. That will probably get old fast, and eventually we will use this old site less and less. I just didn’t want to take it away all at once. 🙂
I’m always here for you guys, so email me at webmaster@tradbow.com if you have any questions or problems. And let me know what you think of the new site. You are the core of our site and your comfort and (web) happiness mean a lot to me. Here goes…

Sounds great.

Sounds good WebMom. Maybe R2 will copy and paste What ya got goin? into the new site, post by post. Thank you for all the work you do for us. best wishes, dwc

So will the new site have a different address? How will both sites be available?
Too bad to see all that has been said on this site evaporate into the digital mist.
-
The new site will not have a new address; it’s still tradbow.com. When you are at the new site Home page, scroll down until you see a large red banner that says Campfire Forums. That will take you to this site. I believe when you click on Member in the menu (it’s not a dropdown item, click the actual word “Member”) and it will also take you to this site.
We tried so hard to convert these posts over, but this form of software (cold fusion) does not play well with other. We went through this several years ago when we got a forum update. We just have to make the new forum the place to be, but you guys are welcome to still hang out here if you want.
I have also found that I can save an entire thread by going to print and then saving it as a pdf.
Keep the questions and comments coming.

If you (or anyone else) is having trouble finding the login button, it’s in the “Member” drop down menu.
Remember, the first time you log in you have to go through the Lost Password option to set your password for the new site.
Thanks for the kind words, Dave.

Robin,
I’m using Safari on a Mac. Here’s what the new site looks like for me:
-
That’s the old site. Do you have it bookmarked? Try to clear the cache by going to Develop > Empty Caches and then type in tradbow.com in the address bar. Let me know what happens.
-
I was wrong, that is the new site. But maybe clearing the cache or refreshing the page will work.

No change after refreshing and then clearing the cache.

If you are using an older Mac you might try using a different browser. Chrome seems to work well for a lot of people. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
-
I use this computer and this browser professionally on a daily basis to access websites all over the world. Sorry, not interested in Chrome.

I apologize if I have offended you. That was not my intent.

I have no idea why, but suddenly the new website appears here as it should. 🙂
