Nothing fancy. 31.5″ bamboo shafts. 200gr SGT makes a 684gr FOC 17% killer arrow!

FOC is a bit low but these things are flying great out of my 51# boo bow. No need for me to mess with them anymore.

What I like the most out of these is that they are all within 5 grains!

Taking them out jack hunting tomorrow morn.

Hey G-monk, How did you do the nocks? Im going to try hardwood inserts on my next batch. Can you show us a close-up of the fletch/ nock wraps,,,they look great.

                    Thanks Ernest.

ps. like your Zen sigg. reminds me of the clasic “Circle of Iron”.

                      Bingo! on the sig quote

                      Heres the pic

The nocks are cut with a dremel. I put 3 of the this abrasive discs on and cut just deep enough to get the throat around the string.

Then I take a round and flat needle file and bring it out to the right width for my string.

I clean up the nock with some folded up 200grit.

For the wrapping have some Brownell serving material that I use. I unwind/unbraid the serving to get a single ply. I use a dab of clear nail polish hardener to secure one end and then wrap tight. I seal it with some more polish hardener.

Superglue works fine but I find the polish to be easier to work with and waterproof.

I dont use inserts on heavy bamboo or cane. A good wrap is enough or you can set the nock just behind a node.

Hey thanks, I will be building some for sure. Nice clean work, I also can’t live without my Dremel.

FYI: Most superglue is NOT waterproof. Zap-A-Gap IS waterproof, and LOCTITE makes waterproof superglue. Zap-A-Gap and some of the LOCTITE are gels.

Grumpy – I use Titebond III to seal the sinew wrapping on My arrows with great sucsess.
