        Any idea where I can get good staves of Osage or hickory for bow building? Is there a local wood I should consider up here in SD? I’ve been reading and watching too many youtube videos, now I have to have a go at it:)

          Osage orange grows in Nebraska and along the Southern Border of South Dakota.

          That is what the Lakota, Osage, and many other Native American tribes used to make their hunting and war bows.
