Regardless of what other arrow design features you choose to have on your hunting arrow a truly sharp broadhead is one of the three essential features that I believe every hunting arrow must have. The other two essential features are total structural integrity of the arrow system and perfect arrow flight.
I enjoyed the informative article and thanks again for the insight. One thing to add is that you can actually SEE a dull edge and/or gouges in the blades edge when reflected in the light. For those who don’t look at your edges try it with good magnification and bright light. I don’t recall this technique in articles, but it is a great tip from an old family friend.
