in reply to: Computer Backgrounds….??? #61213
Hi Bullseye, welcome to the site. I’ll try to take a stab at this.
I don’t really know where you would find “traditional archery” pictures for a background unless they are your images. Many images on the internet are copyrighted and you could get in trouble for just using someone else’s image. I give you permission to use one of our cover images, as long it is for your own personal use. It might look funny on your computer, though as the screen is more of a landscape setting and our cover would be a portrait setting. Does that make sense? Tell me which cover you like and I’ll send a jpg file to you.
Maybe others here know of a good place to get free images. You can try Google Images but again, some of those are copyrighted images. Always best to use one of your own or one you have permission to use.
Here is the link to that post:

And I totally forgot to get your autograph! When I saw Crooked stick, a pretty lady was next to him so I didn’t ask her for her autograph but now I hear she is a celebrity. ๐ฏ

No problem, but I wish we could have visited longer too. Friday is the best day for shopping and Sunday is the best day for chatting. I understand if you can’t make it to Compton, but I’ll try to plan something for the group at the events I attend. My problem is getting away from the booth to join in. Hmmm…I need to bring a different assistant. 8)
in reply to: Kalamazoo Traditional Bowhunters Expo #55842I also enjoyed seeing many of the folks from this site. I sure like putting a face with a name and as most of you can tell I love to chat. I’ll be back in Michigan for the Compton Shoot in June, maybe we can plan something then. What do you guys think about lunch on Saturday? I don’t want to conflict with the kid activities so I’ll give it some thought. Your input is welcome too.
in reply to: Dyna Puffs #52019Thanks, Hiram. That’s great information.
in reply to: Lets Do a Build-along #51088Dennis, this is wonderful! ๐ You make a very beautiful turkey call, and the pictures and instructions make it sound so easy. Thanks for the build-along.
in reply to: Dyna Puffs #46561We have a Tip of the Week article on how to make them with yarn. Wooly String Silencers I’ll bet you can make them with string material, as you described above. Sounds like a good idea, and all the suppliers should carry the string. Where would you find Dyneema 12 strand rope?
Thanks for reporting back on what you found. ๐
in reply to: Dyna Puffs #45921Wow. Nothin’ huh? You might call 3Rivers or Kustom King and see if they know who makes them and if they could get some for you.
How are these different from other string silencers? Are they new?
Good luck with your search. Maybe someone will come along who can help you.
in reply to: ninebark shafts #43451Hi Clay,
I’m guessing no one has used this wood for arrows, but I, for one, am glad to see you back on Tradbow. Hope all is well over on the other side of the state.
in reply to: Vid for Flemish string build along? #38111Did you already check out this post from last year?
Flemish StringYou might also try 3Rivers. They have a good selection of videos on various subject and I think there is one on building Flemish String. I agree, it is easier to watch than to read how to do this. Good luck.

Good luck getting your family involved. It makes for great memories. Just remember, it might be nicer for Mama to stay home while you take the kids out. Just sayin’… Moms think differently when arrows and small kids are involved. Maybe an outing with just the two of you would be more fun for her. ๐
in reply to: Kalamazoo Traditional Bowhunters Expo #28792I will be there…hiding pens from Patrick. ๐ฏ Everyone stop by our booth and say hi.
in reply to: Fallen from grace #27805There was another post about his editorial. That might clear things up for you. Otherwise, I’m sure Don will answer when he gets a chance. Last I heard he was headed for ducks with a dog and a shotgun. ๐
in reply to: Digital Issue #22146dpowers311 wrote: Does anyone know if the digital issues can be viewed on the electronic reader’s like the Nook or Kobe or any others?
Also what is the file extention?
DaveGood morning, and Happy New Year to all.
The digital issue is available in a PDF format in the Download Library. If your reader can handle that file type you can download the Dec/Jan issue using this link. I know it works on an iPad, but it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that an eBook would, such as links or font adjustments. I’m still waiting for that from our vendor. 8)
Give it a try. The Feb/Mar issue in pdf, and any subsequent ebook versions, will be available to Premium Members as part of their membership, but the Dec/Jan is free to everyone. Please report back if you are able to make this work on a Nook, Kindle or any other type of reader.
If you have any questions, please post them here. All questions are welcome.
