in reply to: Feb 2013 traditional bowshoot in Birmingham, AL #29055
That information is also on our site and in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Here is the link to our Calendar of Events.
Any traditional shoot/event can be submitted to be put on the calendar, and all shoots advertised in the magazine will be here.

Hi Michael. Glad to have you back!
First, size your photo(s) to 640 pixels wide, or about 8″, and 72 dpi. I can’t begin to tell you how to do this on your computer because everyone’s software/hardware is different, but there might be some help files in your software that will tell you how to resize a photo. Or see below* π
When you are typing your post, look below the text box and you’ll see “Attach File:”. Click on “Choose File” and find the photo on your computer. When you Preview you should see the photo (or a message if it didn’t work.) After you attach one photo, you get the option to attach another. Six is the limit.
*Or see our FAQ’s about posting photos in the forum. That explains how to use Photobucket. It might be easier, it might not.
Another option is to email the photo to me and I’ll resize it and send it back for you to attach to your post.

You did not imagine this, it really happened. π It was a Tip of the Week titled Heterodyning. I hope it helps. And, as stated by the others in this thread, this isn’t the only way, just Rocky’s suggestion.

Robin,
I’m missing a good time, I know it!
But I have a gig in St.thomas USVI
Next weekend.
Ha ha! I (we) would much rather see you in concert in St. Thomas my friend. One of these days…

in reply to: 1st Tradbow Harvest #62615Congratulation, South Texas! I was waiting for you to post, then I got sidetracked. Here are some photos of your deer.

in reply to: Cabin to cabin #53592Happy Holidays to you and C. Best wishes for health and happiness in the new year. π
Here’s the view from my desk at our cabin.
in reply to: Article Point in Dec/Jan #49917Thanks for the kind words and understanding. It is a labor of love, but it’s done by humans. Mistakes happen more often than we’d like. Now we’ll watch for that in editing and something else will slip by. π
I also missed that this was in the Equipment forum. I’m moving it to the Campfire.
in reply to: Tuffhead 225 gr. Penetration #48241All I could find was the jerky recipe. Elkheart’s Elk or Venison Jerky. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Chicken Fried Steak recipe.

Shhh! Don’t tell him this isn’t TradGang. I’m sure he meant Tradbow. π
Merry Christmas to all of you!
in reply to: Article Point in Dec/Jan #47160Hey Muddy, we didn’t notice that until after it was printed. π³ I don’t have the photo Bruce referred to, but there is an article called Larry’s Brilliant Brace of Birds that has the plans for a bottle launcher to practice aerial shots. I hope that helps.

in reply to: Tuffhead 225 gr. Penetration #46638I am not opposed to wild game recipes in the Campfire Forum. π
in reply to: Hipsters who hunt #41324Goraidh wrote: Might be kind of nice to have a forum set up for off-topic discussions like organic vegetable production, or anything else for that matter.
We have looked at this issue of off-topic threads and decided we’d like to keep our forums to traditional bowhunting/archery topics. Those other discussions–gardening, dogs, muzzle loaders–are great things to talk about, just not appropriate here.
We do have a few places on this site where you can have a bit more freedom. TradSpace is a little-used social area where you can post pictures and talk about other areas of your life. A couple of our photo galleries are open to scenic photos, family activities, etc. and I’m not opposed to gardening photos there (no “herbs” please, keep it G-rated). I hope these ideas offer a compromise that will work for everyone.
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #40084I knew I shoulda posted pictures of our grandson!
It’s Costa Rica, not Puerto Rico…I’ve lost count of the number of second childhoods this guy’s had! Not complaining as I have been on many adventures; never a dull moment! But we are home now, working on the next issue, and the one after that. No new magazines for us…one is enough.
And Scout, I am not smarter than you guys, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once. π I’m thinking ol’ Elkheart was hitting the wrong buttons π
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #39682Didn’t you know we had this kind of scenery in Idaho? It’s changed a lot since you lived here. Seriously, T.J.’s new passion for surfing has taken us to some very pretty places, but they aren’t in Idaho. π And that is T.J. in the second picture. Still a kid at heart!
