in reply to: Website Upgrade #21342
Webmother wrote: [quote=Steve Graf]A feature that seems to have gone away is that of hovering the mouse over the thread title and getting a look at the first few lines.
I liked this feature as it saved me from opening threads I may not be interested in.
I’ll submit a support ticket to see if we can get this back.
The folks at MemberGate fixed that for us. Thanks for bringing it up, Steve.

I have added a link for Recent Forum posts under the Campfire Forums category. Thanks for the suggestion.

in reply to: Website Upgrade #45137Thanks for all the kind words. As you guys know, I love my job!
The upgrade went pretty smoothly, and you’re probably noticing some minor changes in the forum. I will highlight some of the features:
‘”
- n”.self::process_list_items(“‘.str_replace(‘
‘, ”, ‘If you had a website listed below your posts, it is now shown as “Website: Link” under your avatar picture.
The button for a Private Message is now also under the avatar.
If anyone knows what the “Link” button under the comment does, please share. ๐
At the bottom of each thread you can select to receive a Daily Digest of all the comments posted on that thread for each day. It’s under Subscription Options.
The menu in the green bar above now has drop down options so it is easier to find your way around the site.
Tradbow.com is now mobile-friendly. Some of the pages still look like the main site, but it is much easier to maneuver through the top features.
I’m working on increasing the file size for photo uploads.

And…for some reason the rest of my message changes font sizes. Whatever! Email or PM me if you have any trouble with the changes.
in reply to: Bison/Buffalo hunts? #32407TBM published several articles about buffalo/bison. There was one in particular about Farewell, Alaska; Aug/Sep 01 Bison Bows and Arrows by Brad Adams.
Others are about Pink Mountain in British Columbia (Oct/Nov 01) and several hunts in Utah. I avoided the ones related to Africa, Australia, etc.
I’m not sure if this jpg will show up well. All of these issues were before we got the digital thing going, but they are available in print through our shopping cart. If someone has the issues and the ability to scan them, feel free to post the article here. I’m not where I can do that easily.

in reply to: DR ED ASHBY NEW BOOK #22762You can buy it through the gentleman who started this thread. His website should be in his signature. 8)
Just this once I am sorry that I have to make everyone abide by the same rules. I wish Ed the best on his book sales, but we don’t allow commercial posts in the forum. Who makes these rules anyway? ๐
Sorry for the confusion/mystery. Enjoy the book!

in reply to: Anybody heading to E.T.A.R ? #48607Well we have arrived and the first person I met was colmike! Thank goodness because we couldn’t get into our cabin. Good old marine logic and a stong shoulder saved these two damsels in distress. Plan B almost lost brennanherr his room for the night! Anyway, we’re settled in and ready for the show tomorrow. Thanks Mike and Ed!
in reply to: Anybody heading to E.T.A.R ? #47869I will be at the TBM booth with our new Advertising Manager, Kerri Doyle. Stop by and say hello! We’ll be there all weekend and I’d love to meet any and all of our forum members.
This is not a green light for the rest of you to go bonkers on the site. Have fun, but pretend I’m reading every post. ๐ I’ll catch up with the rest of you on Monday.

in reply to: What is it's proper name? #30543I believe it’s called a bowyer’s bench. We ran a how-to in the Jun/Jul 2000 issue that details how to make one. Unfortunately, that was before our “age of digital” so I don’t have a copy I can post here. You can get the print magazine in our shopping area, or maybe someone else has plan they can share with you.
Yes! It was in the Aug/Sep 2010 issue. It took me a while to find it, but I put a copy of the pdf in the Download Library. Here is a link to Just A Click Away
in reply to: Longow recomendation #46228I agree that attending shoots and shows is a great way to try out many different bows and see which ones shoot well for you. Here is a tip we ran some time back. Traditional Events
The article includes a link to our calendar (which is on the main page, lower left column) and a form to submit your shoot for others to see. Please be sure to include in the comments whether the shoot is traditional only or mixed.
