toot-toot! 😆 The fishing pictures are my favorite.
I’m traveling to the Compton Rendezvous today, so yesterday was crazy. I simply forgot to send the email. For those of you who aren’t Premium Members, give me a couple of days and I’ll post the interview so y’all can read it.
Thanks for making my job so much fun!
in reply to: Compton anyone? #17964We are going to be there! And we’re excited to see all of our friends. 😀
Alex, I think that 2005 rendezvous was the first time I met you. T.J. and I are both looking forward to seeing you again. Everyone else who will be there, be sure and stop by our booth and say hello.
in reply to: String Silencers #57592Steve, thanks for your excellent post. I will share your thoughts with the author. I knew he was trying for the heterodyning theory. My bad for not making sure the article was factually correct. 😳 I do appreciate how kind you were at pointing out the errors.
The tuning suggestions were great! Can I steal it for a Tip of the Week? 😉
in reply to: Out of the hospital into the shop #15796Beautiful work! I hope the hospital stay wasn’t too serious. 😯 Working in the shop should make you feel better quickly.
in reply to: Happy Mom' Day #50004This is how I spent my Mother’s Day. Needless to say I’m not in Idaho. I caught a sailfish in Costa Rica. I hope all of your baby mama’s had a great day.
Sorry, they are all sideways. Checking out. Have a great evening.

in reply to: Take-down Longbow and Recurve laminations? #45157Do you have your heart set on building laminated bows? It might be easier to start with selfbows. Dean Torges wrote an excellent series on making kid bows from a board. It’s just a thought.
I don’t have these articles in digital format, but I can scan them tomorrow when I’m at the TBM office if you are interested.

As a toy, I’ll bet a lot of guys would have fun before winning their Darwin Award.
in reply to: Hello everyone. #16883That’s the only one I can think of. Anyone else remember something different?

Love the magazine and can,t wait to explore this site for tips and tap into the wealth of knowledge here. I also have a question. Does anyone remember an issue many moons ago (2003) maybe,an article with a picture of an old man and an hour glass. I want to get a copy of it for my wall. Any help would be appreciated. Look forward too the campfire.cheers
Welcome, Maize! I’m happy to help any time you have questions about the site or about the magazine.
That picture was drawn by Andrew Warrington from England. You would have to contact him to get a copy of it, as the rights go back to the artist after we published it. The last email I have for him is warringtonwildlife@hotmail.com
The article was called The Senior Citizen Years by Gene Wensel and it was in the Feb/Mar 2009 issues. Unfortunately, the paper copy of that magazine is sold out, but Premium Members can view it here.
in reply to: My kives ( I forged at home ) #43459I fixed them as best I could. You should upload them as larger pictures (I suggest 640px wide) and then use the IMG code from Photobucket when you share, not the Direct code.
in reply to: Dr ED ASHBY PERSONAL BOW GIVE AWAY #39348Thanks for sharing this Joe, and big thanks to Dr. Ashby for his generosity.
in reply to: RIP my trusty Shrew Classic Hunter #39064Dang! I was hoping you’d have to come to the Expo. 😆
in reply to: The Best Buck I Never Killed #15348I also enjoyed that story very much! I’m proofreading the next issue and there’s another fun article that you will all like. Dr. Don works with the authors and decides which articles make the cut. We are really lucky to have so much great material to choose from.

I use an apple laptop to play on the internet, so I don’t know if that has something to do with it but….
When my mouse goes over the menu’s, they go crazy and open and close 3, 4, 5, 6 times before stopping. I have to be real careful when trying to get my mouse to the specific menu I want to avoid opening the others and having to wait for them to finish their yo-yo routine…
Any way to fix that?
I noticed that as soon as we switched to the drop down menus. I’ll ask support if there is any way to stop that, but I have learned to come down from the top or up from the bottom to exactly the menu heading I want. It really goes crazy when you scroll “through” the headings. Thanks for bringing it up, I’ll see what (if anything) they can do.
