Hunted for three days, mornings and evenings. Saw deer everyday, mostly in the evenings.
I had one clean miss on Saturday morning, a doe jumped the string and missed high.
I had a great time and just very excited to be back at it!
It’s a long season ( season ends Jan. 20 )

in reply to: Antler Hunting #23683Two springs ago while setting up a brush blind for turkeys I found what a pair not 10 yards apart on the edge of a winter wheat field. They each had 5 pts. That was a lucky find!

in reply to: Antler Hunting #23644Here in Kentucky around now through March is a good time. I find a good place to look is along well used trails and fence lines. Seems when they jump the fence the jolt of the landing knocks an already loose antler off.

Our season opens on Sept. 1 here in Kentucky. I’ve been using my recurve for the last four years since switching from my compound. Is a Shakesphere that I bought back in ’73 while in high school.
Good Luck to everyone!
