I agree with everything you said Chad, except for the part about about you being an amateur writer..:) I have enjoyed your articles!

        Cody,

Its a darn nice place to work on a bow, huh…. Its also a great place to hunt…usually. I hunted it for a week this past fall with no luck, but normally, it is awesome hunting!

Hope to see you at the Classic this year!

If can be a little nosey, where was that picture of all the bows taken at? It looks like Twin Oaks in Clarksville Tn. I was just wondering. Thanks

You bet, Cody. When I lived in Nashville, I was up at Pappy’s regularly. He was the one that really got me hooked on selfbows… Wish I still lived close!

Every time I start feeling like a pro, I see a bow from Ed Owl or my buddy Mark Baggett, and then I wake up… They aren’t always pretty, but they do make meat!

BC- Are you looking to use fiberglass, or simply do a few natural layers? Are you planning on putting a lot of recurve in the limbs?

Thanks, Clay. I write regularly for some other mags, but I am going to try and get more articles over to Don and TJ.

BTW- I read your article last night and really enjoyed it. I have yet to take a bear with primitive gear, so that is high on the list. Your descriptive and detailed way of writing about your enviroment put me on the mountain. 😉

Nice job, Clay! Don’t worry much about those holes…just follow the woods and you will be fine. A couple of my best shooters have big holes in them….just follow what the wood tells you, and you will be OK…usually. 😉

Thanks, Steve! I have been reading over my copy the last couple of days, and I don’t think my story could have been included in a better issue. Really proud to be a part of it…
