I made one from a stainless steel spoon, one rainy day last winter. Turned out pretty well, but I’ve never shot it. I just hammered it flat, drew the shape I wanted, and used a grinder to shape and sharpen it. Nothing fancy, more a trade point style…..it would certainly do the trick, though.

I have a number of 3-4 day trips planned around the state, in addition to the more frequent hunts here around the house. I’ll also hunt Fl some for deer and doves, but will mostly be in GA. Our bow season opens Sep 8 so I’ll be heading to the mountains to ramble and find a hungry bear.

Next year I have plans for September in the Rockies.

Less than two weeks away from a weekend hunt in north Florida, and less than three weeks away from my sweet Ga season. I’m useless and worthless by now….have been for a few weeks. I love turkey hunting above any other hunt (he hatched from an egg, says me wife!).:D

Almost always hunt alone…always have. I do a fair number of camps with one, occasionally 2 or 3 buddies….but even then we hunt alone and see each other back at camp. I do really enjoy those times, and look forward to them almost as a celebration. Overall, I’m something of a loner and there aren’t a lot of folks whose outlook on hunting, ecology, and hoo-doo jives with mine.
