in reply to: Roosevelt Elk vs. Rocky Mountain Elk #21624Wet weather conditions are the norm up in the Pacific Northwest.
in reply to: Roosevelt Elk vs. Rocky Mountain Elk #21623I hunted Roosevelt elk in Washington two years ago during the late hunt. I saw one cow in my 6 day hunt and I saw her for about 3 seconds! Tough hunting in all of that thick forest, especially where I was…That said, several resident hunters we camped with were getting into elk almost daily. I think it was more our lack of experience in the area that hindered our hunting. Because the elk were there. The elk sign was everywhere and you would hear them but seeing them deep in the timber was extremely challenging. I want to go back, perhaps this next November. Here is a some pictures of some of that thick country.
in reply to: Another short video w/Buck's Bow. #18203I agree with Steertalker on this one. Ol George has skills!
in reply to: Wes Wallace Profile #18201Good article and Mr. Wallace certainly makes one beautiful bow! On a different note, it is refreshing to see that Kuiu gear is owned and designed by a diehard traditional bowhunter. Jason Hairston knows his gear! Kuiu’s merino wool is the finest wool I have ever owned.
in reply to: Doc? David? Everyone? You seen these? #18199Oh those broadheads look sweet. Does anyone here have any direct experience with them? I wonder how they perform…
