in reply to: Chundoo or Doug Fir #59919
Hi, Duncan.. Thanks. I’ve shot and made arrows out of both. I am still leaning towards Doug Fir as being superior particularly when it comes to straightness. I am curious though as to varying opinions.

It seems SB-2099 was introduced in 2000 and went nowhere.
There is no current SB-2099, and if there were, it would have to be made public and would have to come up for a full Senate vote. Seems to be a hoax. Not to worry.Thanks.. R & B …… I am glad if that is the case. Pretty scary that something like this has even been considered. 😯
in reply to: Question About Flu Flu's #58854From my own experience from playing archery golf. I’d say about 100 to 125 yards. No more than that.

This is true. I am already planning snowshoe hare hunting with the bow. Upcoming Trad Shoots. And of course, I already marked my calendar for Compton’s Rendezvous!
We need “the off season” as preparation for next season! And a few laughs in between…

I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I am blessed to be able to cleanly kill a whitetail with my longbow, the feeling of exhilaration can only be understood by another traditional archer. To this day, when everything comes together and I stand over my deer, I can hardly believe what I’ve accomplished and how hard I’ve worked to make it happen. It’s what drew me into traditional archery in the first place and I pray it will continue to fuel my desires.
Amen, Bro!! Good Luck!

Merry Christmas, Duncan!
in reply to: Group sizes? #50806Hey, GT.. no they were 11/32′. and I loved them. Chundoo is a good hearty wood, my mistake turning them into target arrows. Chundoo would make a fine hunting arrow. Which I am thinking for 2010.
in reply to: arrow fletching #50801Yup, as long as the arrow spine and weight is matched to a tuned bow. Straight or LW / RW helical does not matter.

Nope. They are arrows I made using Chundoo shafting.
in reply to: Where has my season gone??? #49938I would say “Big Game Hunting Season” was dedicated to Bowhunting Only! Luckily, in New York although there are three separate seasons, we can bowhubnt through all of them. But, we also have access to a lot of Bowhunting Only areas the entire time too! As the MasterCard commercial goes… “PRICELESS”!!

in reply to: Beautiful last day of the season in NY #48876Ah! Glad you went back! I thinking about you today going back for one last shot (pun intended,) and the sunset when I left work today For the first full day of winter and last day of any deer season… that was a gorgeous sunset today!
Glad you had a great experience. It was my privilege to share with you. Made the hunt that much better.
