I used to do this too. My father said it was my “minds eye” double guessing yardage. He told me to “Quit questioning and start shooting”. I know that sounds very simplistic, but I went to consistently 1 1/2 inch high to right where I wanted. Just a thought.

has anyone used the Big Jim’s seat? I’m interested in that one…just wondered if someone had any experience with it.

I think that edge would be a great quiver for those that carry huge diameter broadheads, like tree sharks. I like the original woodsman, myself. that’s why I’ll either go with the big jim deluxe or the barta…probably the barta for the room for flu flu’s. (I like roving so that’s making me lean that way). But for the price, Big Jim’s quivers can’t be beat. And that man and his company are top notch!

I love those spiral fletched flu flu’s. I’ve always used the big feather type, or original spirals. I like the idea of using standard fletch, and wrapping them the way you did. thanks for the info!

I’d like to add to my suggestion of thunderhorn a little bit…they also make the Barta Quiver….8 arrow, holds 2 outside the hood for judo’s, or flu flu’d blunts…and they will even do custom 2 tone hoods if asked. Yet another idea for ya! I’m trying to get the extra funds up for one. The idea of a full “clip” strikes me as a good one 🙂

Check out thunderhorn…they make a fine line of bowquivers. Big Jim also comes to mind…high quality, at a very reasonable price.

I fortunately have had little personal experience with wanton waste of such a valuable resource. But I hear people talk of it and see posts of such activities constantly here in Washington and on the internet! It disgusts me to say the least. When I was a teen in Alaska such activities by our locals never happened…or at least weren’t publicized. Personally I don’t care for huge racks…they are too tough to eat, even boiled lol! I’ll take what my family eats. Isn’t that what it’s about, anyway?

Everyone I’ve talked to and every thread I’ve seen online about Predators states the absolute best concerning these bows. If you have a chance to get one for a decent amount, and are in the market, I think you can’t go wrong.

for price/performance, I think you cannot go wrong with the Woodsman broadheads from 3 rivers…

I’ve heard that the Sage is a great bow…that being said, if you shoot it well, and need to upgrade, why not get different limbs? If you absolutely have to have a different bow altogether, start searching the classifieds on this, and other traditional archery sites…there are a few out there. The most popular (I won’t name it, other than the “Gang”) requires a paid membership to view their classifieds. But, it would be a solid investment, as there is a LOT of used, quality custom bows on there for very reasonable prices, as well as advice from most every member on fit, form, etc. I’ve found that site to be one of the most informative out there, besides this one. For around $300 you can more than likely get a trad bow that would otherwise cost 2-4 times that, as well as a lengthly wait on the bowyers build list. Just my .02 for what it’s worth.
