My name is Roger Norris, and I live in the great bowhunter state of Michigan. My greatest passion is traditional bowhunting/shooting, but I love to be in the outdoors doing anything. My second greatest outdoor passion is chasing rabbits behind my beagle, Daisy. I’m fortunate to be a member of ShrewHaven, and spend an awesome 10 days up there each fall with guys like Ron LaClair and Tim Cosgrove.

Thanks for the welcome Dave. The beauty of that 54″ Shrew (I know you are already aware of this) is that you can shoot it out of just about any blind made.

I hunt out of one every year, but I have to admit that it isn’t my favorite way to hunt. BUT….sometimes it saves the day…..biting wind, drizzle…

I actually have a hard time after the shot from a ground blind. I lose the direction of travel easily.

I shoot both, A super Shrew L’l Favorite (recurve) and a Shrew Classic Hunter Armstrong Ghost (longbow) They are both made with the same handle, so the grip doesn’t change. I enjoy them both, and don’t see a heck of a difference on whitetails. They even shoot the same arrows. If I had to choose, I would go with the longbow, asthetically they appeal to me more.

They work for me. I killed this fat girl out of the previously posted blind on a cold and windy day this month.

I think the deer up at ShrewHAven confuse the blind with these rocks so prevalent in the area…

I use the Hidden Hunter Blind (new to the site, I hope the pic works)
