I have made several from their 60″ one piece recurve plans and they shoot well. I did change the profile of the limbs slightly, I felt the plans stayed too wide out to the tip.

I’ve just started making mine. Used Walnut for the first batch because I had some and didn’t want a lot of extra weight for these arrows as I will use them for 3D shoots. I’ll use something heavier like Osage for arrows that I will hunt with. I used a jig that I bought from The Nocking point (3 Rivers also has it). It works great and is easy to set up. Get a small block plane (make sure it is sharp!) and you will be suprised how fast you can get the blanks round.

I’ve had good experiences with all 3.

I got some tapered ash shafts from the nocking point. I like them for hunting, I don’t have a problem keeping them straight and my bow is whisper quiet.

If you want to make all wood bows, get a 4 volumes of “Traditional Bowyers Bible”. A wealth of information and well worth it.

I put some on my recurve using titebond III and after de-scaling, rubbbed in about 3 coats of thin CA and finished with tru-oil. Been on a couple of years now and still looks good.
