Good Pat!!!
Now I can have one nut behind the judo for weight and one nut farther back to add misses without having any washers involved. :D:D
Someone needs to come up with something that looks like a blunt of different weights only only drilled and tapped so to screw another point into it.
in reply to: Add weight to a Judo?? #47457A 10/32 nut and two 8/32 flat washers added made mine weigh 177 gr. ๐
in reply to: Changing Wood Arrows Points #46611Yep, I swab them out with a Q-tip and alcohol, usually half dz. or so, then put them over the torch , hole to the flame, to dry out. Pretty blue flames ๐ One might use a bit of caution just cause that goes to say with fire and alcohol.
in reply to: What ya got goin? #45562We so desperately need some of that snow/rain/ice, don’t care which or all three, so maybe we can avoid the wildfires that we’ve had the last several years. We’ve lost a lot of homes and lives. Wildfires scare the s*** out of me.
We’ve got some moisture coming I think/hope.
in reply to: What ya got goin? #45543I really thought about a bunch of y’all today whilst me and a buddy were out stumping. I really did.
Very, very unusual calm day and 72* for us here.
I do sympathize folks.
Our weather is going sour tomorrow for a couple of weeks, but we’ll have nothing like Mass. has had.
A blizzard ain’t good anywhere though. We get bad ones here just not for months at a time.
Best wishes to y’all that’s buried up.

Ditto! It’s a sure, but temporary, cure for my blankety blank target panic! ๐ฟ
Ditto, ditto on the blankety blank. It bit me this past Sunday.
Not a hint of it with no other folks around.

What goes on with a bow stays with the bow. Right:D:D
in reply to: Shooting the Sage #41390Duncan, mine shoots quiet off the shelf. My friend’s problem was not moving the nock set to match the elevated rest and he also had the brace height a 1/2″ too low. No bow will function properly that way. Poor bow was being mistreated.
I shot the Sage only about 10 times before I built a 12 strand fastflite and put on it. That made a different bow out of it. Much smoother and quite.
I have an acquaintance who is a Samick dealer and he told me that there has been some problems with limbs twisting on some of the Samick one piece recurves. He said he’s going to investigate and I’ll let all know if/when I learn anything.
Someone has been watching me. If I’d known my TP would have attacked me.
in reply to: Shooting the Sage #40637I have my Sage working for me again. I loaned it to a friend and when he brought it back, good grief he had things messed up. Took my rests off, tied yarn for about 4″ down the string from the string nocks ( the only knot he knows is a half hitch so that was about a million half hitches to get removed:cry:) ). He put Velcro everywhere on the limbs, put a elevated rest on it then said it “don’t shoot for ***t”. I imagine not cause he never moved the nock set.
So for some feller my bows are off limits. ๐
Anyway I have her all tuned back and shooting those woodies real well. She’s a 45#’r
I also have have a Samick Red Stag, 40#, on the light side for me but good for working on form, that is nice to shoot
in reply to: Emergency Gear #40179TP? Just remember not to use the leaves that come in clusters of three. ๐
