      That’s cool………

I like the way you used Ennio Morricone’s music to get the deer to stand still so long:D

I’ve cooked prairie dog before, like I do squirrel, both slow pan fried and in “chicken” and rice casserole.

Cain’t see why jackrabbit wouldn’t be OK.

Jackrabbits, cottontails, squirrels and prairie dogs are all skinny little critters when you get the hide pulled off them. 😀

Maybe that happens normally to critters, being skinny that is, who are a high up choice on the predator’s menu ya spose?

Steve I put one in the crock pot one time with ‘all the fixins’ for rabbit stew just like I would a cottontail. It tasted like rabbit with ‘all the fixins’ just like a cottontail. Maybe had something to do with ‘all the fixins’?:D

Never tried fried jackrabbit so dunno. Like you, heard it wasn’t so great.

But then again to a hungry man lots of things become more palatable (except turnips, ain’t ‘no fixins’ can help them out) 🙁

              Anyone??????

                in reply to: Watches #26474

I got curious about finding a watch that ticked in this age of time?? and found that it’s more of a hassle than I’d care to mess with even if I was interested. They’re available as vintage watches or as watches that I could spend a sum money on or by several new bows with those dollars.

                I hate decisions. ??

Ahh, just think of the life we’d have if all the deer were gone and we had nothing to do but plant sunflowers… 🙄

Thanks Scott, but it’s short lived again this year methinks.

Dry as a bone again and we’re slow roasting.

                        Think I’m living in Lago……….:D

But ‘The Man’ lets me know it’s OK…

Just shoot less and concentrate harder….

Thanks on that reply.. I read that also on the tube of Fletch-tite Platinum that I paid double for yesterday 👿

Seems I maybe shoulda read but the regular old fletch-tite I used for centuries is now “platinum” and has changed and I woulda never thunk it. :)Figured it woulda been improved but I guess not for my uses.

By the way, in researching Fletctc-tite Platinum I also found that with it not only non-compatible with AL arrows but also not so with Easton Carbon shafts.

Those two arrows are fletched using super glue. I think my super glue experiment is over except for the hard knocks stage of banging them around in the world and seeing if the feathers stay on, pop off or whatever. I’m thinking that they’re just as likely to hit or miss as well any other arrows I have. 🙄

I’ll stick to my Duco on wood and tape and/or sensibly priced tube off fletch-tite on my few carbons since they’re not Easton shafts.

Another thought, I’m thinkin that if/when I have to replace those fletches on the those two arrows that the super glue used will complicate that removal and cleaning of shaft process.

Yeah, thanks. I’ve used Duco for many years on wood, iffy for AL but for carbons it hasn’t worked for me. Tried it once for grins..:(

Maybe this is a good reason to stick with my woodies:D

One thing to start the experiment list…..

I’m glad I always keep bow string wax on the edge of my clamps. I put extra on just on a whim while using the super glue and it still made it a bit difficult to remove the clamp from the arrows.

DK, all it takes sometimes is something as small as toothpick size. I quite often use a piece of a zip tie under Velcro on my bows. Popsicle stick works but with those I modify, like whittle down or “try” to split them in half. Not so simple to do that sometimes:D

Got my patriotic arrows out for the holiday!!! I shoot’em for awhile each year during Independence Day time. Been doing it for a number of years. I have 8 left. :D:D

Wose I think there’s a reason those are commonly referred to as “Idiot Sticks”
