Strong, good flight, sharpen easy and well, and cheap!
I have been pleased with both over the years. More so now because my supply of Rib Tech’s has dwindled to just a few.
Tain’t a thing wrong with my Grizzly’s either. I’ve had them a loooooong time though so price is not a factor.. 😀
Alex, I don’t know why but single bevel seem to be easier for me to sharpen. Maybe it’s my one track mind…. or..
Spose it’s cause mine are made for a right handed shooter???? :?:?
in reply to: What ya got goin? #28293Been a time or two when a toilet seat woulda fit the situation best. 🙄
Like the time a 50′, seemed like it anyway, rattlesnake was strolling through the world right at my feet as I sit on a rock minding my own business…about half asleep….wasn’t sleepy anymore after that……….
That was the longest 2 1/2′ feet of my life I think.
in reply to: My new baby #46488That’s quite a blessing you have there. Life is a wonderful thing and to have it new in your arms, wow!!!! Congrats to the two of you.
in reply to: ARE YOU READY? #22674What makes one think one’s gonna be one of the unsuccessful? Gotta start out thinking one will be successful or one probably won’t be. Best to be prepared in case one gets it done.
I may know the odds might be against me but why not that I start out thinking I’m on the plus side of those odds. Why not me being in the 20% bracket??
If I know that I’m going to be unsuccessful I don’t see the point of my not tackling something that I think I can be successful at instead of extending my lack of success in something I know ain’t gonna happen. Like butting heads with J.J. Watts. 😀 Best to grab my bow and go elsewhere:roll:…
When it comes to bow shooting and hunting though, I have this “Little Train That Could” attitude and keep on plugging til it works. If it doesn’t happen, there’s tomorrow…
in reply to: What ya got goin? #12020I bet that deer and all it’s buddies are laughing their whitetails off. Good tale grumpy….:D

Used mt garden pruners to make a path thru a briar patch from one hay field to another (half mile around) came back a few days later to use the path, and found deer poop at the entrance to the trail. I’m thinking they did that as soon as I left… Grrrrrrrr
Maybe a good place for a ground blind.. I guess it’s OK to shoot’em when they’re poopin’. 😕 😉
Ethics police may squawk, dunno. 🙄

Hey David, it’s been a learning experience in gaining the color of both.. 😀
in reply to: What ya got goin? #56579We had fun at Leedey, Ok today. Those folks put on a fun shoot. Kind of long trip for my friend and I, 360 mi round trip but it was fun.
Those guys make some fun shots. The ear pierced deer…well, I was supposed to shoot through a fork in a tree and hit the vital but concentration and a smooth release allowed me to shoot through several forks, ricochet of several branches and pierce this deer’s ear. Quite impressive uh?
Even with a boo boo like that this old feller managed to pull down a 2nd place with his longbow and my buddy took 1st with his recurve.
Happy and tired we be…
One of those dents in the barrel ain’t mine:D
That be a rattlesnake den behind that shot. Summertime though so hopefully those creepy crawlers out somewhere else, or shoot good….
in reply to: What ya got goin? #50576During the pursuit of this alien mini black bear, success………..
The eyes are reflective tacks as this was also to be used for a night shoot later.
It’s a good way to help folks locate the targets in the dark…
In the process of setting the shoot up for them however, I was a gourmet meal for a batch of chiggers……….
I used permethrin on my britches and boots, sprayed my upper unit with repellent but wasn’t good enough. I guess when you’re wollering around in the weeds setting targets you’re asking for it.
My back is a mess…………….
I hate chiggers………………
in reply to: THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR…….. #42494When I was a little tot things were a bit different then than now (coons were bigger then it seemed):D. I remember going with my dad for him to get a hair cut. I may have been 3 yrs old???
Anyway, someone had a racoon on a chain (nowadays they’d be in big trouble for animal cruelty I’m sure) and I remember that it was going back and forth, back and forth over that chain. I also recall my dad saying, “Ralph don’t go near that coon, it’ll bite”. Sure enough the &*%#$#@*&^ did..
The lesson on not minding what being told by an elder (especially a father elder) made an impact on a young mind also, kinda.
Maybe if I’d had an ear of corn………
in reply to: THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR…….. #22075Maybe a coonskin cap be in order ya reckon???:D
in reply to: Summer fun and early season #43594Around here, jalapenos and hapaneros be high on the list. Cain’t say they be to mild of taste though. But I love’em… 8)
Makes for hot shafts they do if you be hunting them and be hittin what you’re shootin at. .:roll:
in reply to: THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR…….. #43515Ahh, furvines…. I see….:D
