Oh yeah on the permethrin. I’ve not known anyone having Lyme disease here but research shows that some have had it in my county and several around it.

I do know of several people, my brother in Dallas included, who have had West Nile virus which is spread by mosquitoes. It’s bad mocus also.

Permethrin is handy there also but some kind of repellant is necessary in addition.

Like Doc and Mike are stressing, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

Believe me, even in our drought we have skeeters and ticks.

The wind finally laid today after a week solid of it and we got to get out and play.

The bases of these yuccas make fine targets.

Some things havin’ a hard go of it in the drought.

There are things like this mesquite branch that neither your foot nor your truck’s foot need to find unawares.

I was perfectly happy to leave mine hanging in a tree at camp when I left, minus arrows and goodies. Maybe it was an upper for whoever inherited it. 😀

My wife tells me that if I had the money back for everything I bought and tried, didn’t work as I hoped, and gave away, I could buy her something really nice. 😆
